3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at Maloneís Urban Drinkery, Vancouver
Hazy amber color; medium sized creamy head. Moderate aroma of malt and hop. Decent malt flavor, strong hopping and strong bitterness, but somehow with stale qualities; the resins are still present, the fruits less. The final is also medium dry.
Powerful but not impressive.

(22oz bottle) Pours a lightly hazy golden orange body with a dense frothy cream head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, florals, lemon, and grass. Flavor of caramel malt, citrus, florals, and grass with a dry, bitter, somewhat chalky finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Brewforia. Pours light amber gold with a creamy near white head. Moderate grapefruit aroma. Near full bodied. Flavor is light caramel with a great deal of hop - which seems to be grapefruit and floral. Itís only moderately harsh, and itís quite bitter. Nice drink thisín.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A: The beer pours a clear golden orange color with a finger of white head.
S: Smells pretty mediocre (and I might be a bit generous there). Some floral and lightly spicy hops with tons of bread and pale malts. A hint of citrus and even more sweetness, mostly toffee with a touch of caramel.
T: Fairly bready in terms of the malt flavor with some grassy hops and a light floral and citrus note. There is tons of toffee, a little bit of caramel, and a very stale feeling about the beer. Pretty "blah".
M: Medium bodied with a medium level of carbonation.
O: Another lackluster IPA from the PNW, unfortunately. Wasnít a fan of this one.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A hazed golden DIPA with a thin creamy lacing light mocha head. In aroma, a great classic IPA with loads of piney and floral hops, citrus pulp. In mouth, a nice citrus pulp with light floral hops, light alcohol warmth, a bit on the light side, but good. On tap at Courtyard Marriott Portland, Oct. 5 2012.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
In short: A well malted blonde IPA with assertive grapefruity/grassy hopping. Very good.
How: Bottle 22oz consumed fresh one or two weeks after purchase, bottle forwarded to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt
The look: Cloudy blonde body topped by a medium white head with medium retention
In long: Nose of citrus fruits, bananas and pine needles. Taste has a lot of soft bready malts, a bit of honey, medium sweetness sensation. The focus of this beer is the hops and they have a strong personality with bitter grapefruits, pine needles and yellowed grass. Bitterness is short and sharp and of medium-high intensity. There is a good amount of sweetness on the attack but it is quickly brushed away by the generous hopping leaving a semi-dry sensation. Nothing original here, Iíve had similar IPAs many many times before, but the execution of this one is superior. The Yellow Wolf, another Darwin prediction, the most successful predator of sheeps feeding in dandelions field, and if youíve never seen one it is because they are just that damn good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. The body is more golden than amber, hazy, with a thick lasting white head. Aroma quite hoppy, grapefruit, grass, a bit of pine. Malts are a bit chewy, hops are a bit astringent, grapefruit and green grass flavours. Very bitter. This lacked something that was hard to pin down, and it didnít quite come together for me. Iím still having trouble letting go of the Stone 16th Anniversary IIPA I had a couple of days ago.
