4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
One of the best tasting Imperial IPAs I’ve ever had. Very rich and full with some light chocolate notes. Not overly hoppy either.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
22 oz bottle from Albertson’s in Hillsboro, OR. Pours with a short-lived, rocky head and minimal lacing. Aroma is grassy and piney, with hints of hay and leaves. Mouthfeel and taste is crisp, sweet, and bitter from the start through to a long finish and aftertaste. The beer feels a bit thin, but it masks the alcohol incredibly well. Pretty fantastic!

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Very good golden orange color with white head, nice legs. Lots of tasty floral and strong sweet aroma. The palate is covered with lupulin. Its real hoppy but lots of grain to back up the bitterness. Its rounded out and well made but hoppy!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2013 When I poured this 22-oz bottle into my goblet, I was struck by its interesting almost but not quite butterscotch or apricot color. Holding it up to the light showed lots of suspended particles. The head was small and white but left good lacing rings. The nose was simply powerful, and reminded of me of Pliny the Elder. Lots of floral, piney,. and citrus hops leap from the glass. You can smell ti from six feet away yet it is not overpowering, yet remains pleasant, an interesting trick that many DIPAs fail to achieve. The body is between medium and heavy, and the mouthfeel slick and greasy. The alcohol is well hidden. The flavor shows all the aforementioned hops, and adds in caramel malts and some tropical fruit like mango and tangerine. The finish is lightly bitter and it keeps getting better and better all the way to the last drop. I found this to be a really superb DIPA and wish I had more, yet I am glad I shared one of my two bottles with Stryzone via a trade so he could enjoy it too. I consider this to be a real winner, and while based on the small number of ratings here assume it must be hard to find, I recommend to beer lovers everywhere they try. It will be worth searching for.

18/10/2012 Bir&Fud Bottega (500ml bottle). Ambrata, limpida, bellissima schiuma bianco sporca, molto compatta e persistente. Al naso è esplosiva, freschissima, agrumata ed erbacea, con note di malto ben percettibili. In bocca è molto amara, ma comunque bilanciata con il malto, sebbene non caramellata stucchevole, finale molto lungo, intenso. Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. Una gran bella birra!

*nom nom nom* It smells like hops, tastes like hops, thankfully its less scratchy than just drinking them straight. A well balanced IPA with a lot of bitter resins, but not overpowering or rank. Right amount of sweet amberness malt.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours hazy orange-yellow with a thick and creamy white head. Aroma just bursts out of the bottle: tons of grapefruit and semi-sweet citrus. Flavor is a bit sweet up front, heavy citrus/tangerine, with a bitter finish. Harsh on the palate with the bitterness and some alcohol burn, but not at all unpleasant. Excellent!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden orange pour, white head. Aroma is hop loaded: earthy, leafy, and citrusy. This is easy on the malts for a double IPA, on the drier side with low sweetness. The finish bursts with citrus, floral, and grassy hops. A tasty IPA in the vein that I like.
