COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Slight caramel taste and light toffee/malty aroma are complimented by just enough hops to keep this beer from being too overly sweet. Amber Ale adds just a bit of sweetness but still allows the dishes to stand on their own for taste.

Sampled at the Highlands Brewery. Not a bad amber ale. It had a medium, caramel body with a slight citrus. It was a normal Amber Ale, different, but not bad as many other Ambers Ales.

On tap at Highlands brewpub. Amber with a thing off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt and very mild hops. Taste of burnt malt, caramel, and diacetyl. Very little flavor and finishes up with an off-flavor.

Amber in color with a low white head and carbonation. A mild malt aroma with a grassy hoppiness. Flavor has a nice malty presence, light floral and grassy hops middle and ends with a nice hop bitterness. Density was good. Overall a decent amber that leans towards the hoppier side of the amber style with a solid malt ending.

Pours amber with a medium head. Aroma is sweet caramel, toast, and mild pepper in the nose. Flavor is clean, nutty malts and yeasty notes blend well with toast and balanced hops. Very balanced and easy to drink.

Tasted 4/14/08. Draft from the brewpub. Filtered with a dark amber hue. Off whhite clinging head. Another diasytl bomb. Caramel and buttered toast. Smooth and medium bodied, but meh...

Dogbrick (4528) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 29, 2008
Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear orange/amber color with a thin beige head that diminishes quickly. Rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is mildly malty with touches of citrus and hops. Light-bodied with grainy malt and caramel flavors, and subtle piney hops present as well. The finish is malt and toffee with a lingering mild hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft sampler. Malty amber smell with a good copper color. First beer I’ve had here that shows American hops; not at APA strength, bit a bit of citrus and pine to make it interesting.

On tap at the brewpub. Deep amber with a nice off-white head. Aroma of caramel / crystal malt. Nicely full-bodied. Little bitterness. Good session-type beer.
