sneagrams3 (1367), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Apr 15, 2008 Tasted 4/14/08. Draft from the brewpub. Filtered with the color of cherry wood. Off white moldy head. Touch nutty and caramel in the aroma. Touch red berry esters. Good nose! On the medium side of light bodied. Caramel flavors with hints of toffee and toast. Mild cola effervescence. On of my favorites of the day!
kwoeltje (1199), Manchester, Missouri, USA Mar 14, 2008 (draught) Deep ruby (it was evening so I didn’t notice any orange) with off white head and some lace. Aroma of sweetish malt. Flavor was nice biscuit malt with a hint of hops in the finish. Dogbrick (2209), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 29, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a clear orange color with a thin light beige head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is sweet toasted malt with a touch of hops. Light-bodied with a sweet malt character and mildly spiced hops in the background. The finish is toasty and sweet with a caramel and malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.
