COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

The Alaskan Amber is a fine representation of the Alaskan Brewing Company, and was what started my love of their beers.

Aroma - very basic malt; Appearance - amber, thick fluffy head, laces well; Taste - balanced malt front, back has a faint hop profile, mild finish; Palate - slightly crisp, good body; Overall - solid brew yet nothing really stands out, easy drinking for the style.

Clear amber color with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel and raisins with some bready malt and a little musty. Flavor is a bit thin and disappointing. Mildly bitter and sweet, but that’s it. Palate is fizzy, but at least thirst quenching. Almost sessionable, but actually just boring.

Medium to full bodied surprise right here. Very interesting, candy like sweetness with a nice clean, dry, yet astringent finish. Nothing complicated, nothing fancy, just a good beer. Extremely easy to drink.

Dark amber color with a thin tan head. Aroma isn’t strong but is mostly sweet malts. Flavor is similar with primarily sweet malts and also some cereal flavors. Overall nothing extremely unique but a good solid amber ale.

strong butterscotch aroma, followed by a butterscotch soda flavor. very sweet, but not fresh malt, and no notable hop character.

i think my brother, swalden28, shared this bottle. poured amber with a white head. aroma was caramel, grain, and slight peach. flavor was grain, ash, fruity (red apple). body was light with high carbonation.
