COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

12 oz bottle in pint. Amber brown color with pillow white head. Medium bitterness and carbonation. Thin. Light Chocolate malts with crisp grassy hops. Slightly rough finish with the yeast like an Irish red.

12 oz bottle Pours amber colored (obviously) with a small to medium off white head. The nose is caramel malt, grassy hops, and bread. The palate is the same. Light to medium carbonation and a watery mouthfeel. Decent. Go buy something else in a 6 pack.

Alaskan Amber is an all around good beer... I said it’s "Good", not "Great".

Dark amber pour with a pretty good white head. Smell is sweet and reminds me of sourdough. Quite balanced between malts and hops, but it’s so light bodied it’s hard to form an opinion on. Pretty neutral and somewhat bland. Not a bad beer, but there’s better 6 packs to spend $8 on.

12 oz. bottle I brought form San Francisco. Pours amber with a foamy white head and lovely carbonation. Aroma of perfume hops and caramel malt. Medium, smooth body. Flavor is a nice balance between caramel malt, ripe fruit and peppery hops. Great beer, I wish they sold Alaskan in NJ.

Bottle. Amber, cloudy. Nose is a bit funky and bitter. Taste is very bitter, some hoppy notes, a bit tart. Body is medium. Strange beer.

Deep amber color, thin head with minimal lacing. Thin palate. Bready/yeasty aroma and slightly sweet flavor; hints of sourdough and caramel. Rich, satisfying, but somewhat heavy. Very good. [BM 12]

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2010 Draught at Buckley’s in Belltown, Seattle, WA, USA.
Clear amber colour with small off-white head. Roasted malt, caramel and nuts in aroma. Flavour is quite similar with some grassy bitter hops.
