2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 leninthedesert (116) - Nevada, USA - APR 2, 2008
Enjoyable beer in the "alt" style. Non-distinct aroma, somewhat malty foretaste, hint of hops...well balanced, but no real defining moments.

1 pint 6 fl. oz. bottle. Pours a nice amber color (duh) with minimal head. Flavor: Very smooth, with mild hops and just the right amout of malt. There’s also a hint of hazelnut.

No surprise that this beer poured an amber color. It has a floral/malty aroma and a malty taste. This beer is very lightly carbonated, very drinkable, but kind of a flavor non-event. I would definitely drink this beer again, and I think it would pair well with spicy Mexican or Indian food.

Beautiful deep amber color, almost no noticeable carbonation. Intense maltiness in the aroma, along with moderately pungent hops. Malty flavor, with cherry and pear, and woody hop notes. I enjoyed the beer and the style, very original, yet still drinkable.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Stine (1398) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - MAR 27, 2008
Tap at the Falling Rock taphouse. Amber orange with a full, creamy beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, cinnamon, toffee, and tea-like fruit sweetness. Flavor is calm nuttiness and fruity bitterness; pear skins, orange rind, and wood. Reserved, quenching, and softly rich. Palate is crisp and medium in body, with some acidic dryness and fruitiness in the finish. Seems to be treated very well fresh on tap; charming, laid back, ultimately refreshing, and pristinely drinkable.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 uhclem (248) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - MAR 26, 2008
Well-named. Pours a lustrous amber with a good tan head that diminishes quickly with medium lacing. Nose has caramel, toffee and something slightly musty, which lost points. Toffee, malt and caramel come through in the taste and then develop into a mild, pleasant fruity finish. Mouthfeel is thin and crisp. Aftertaste is mild but very pleasant I agree with Beaver about the Fat Tire comparison.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beaver (873) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 23, 2008
22 oz bottle. Pours a clear reddish amber with a fine off white head that goes to a thin film that laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet caramel malts, toffee and some fruit.
The flavor is slightly sweet caramel, toffee and biscuits with a little fruitiness and enough bitterness at the finish to balance it well. The mouthfeel is medium bodied.
Overall, nothing too exciting but this is a well made, well balanced and enjoyable brew. This reminded me a bit of Fat Tire, but better.

Good beer. I had this while I was out west(Oregon or Wash) and liked it. Well balanced and tasty.
