COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

Bottled. An amber beer - no wonder, with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet mlaty with notes of caramel, leading to a dry bitter finish. A bit boring.

Poured a clear deep amber color with a small off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma. The flavor was sweet and malty with an earthy hop on the crisp finish. Semi-dry finish.

(35.5cl bottle, with thanks to Papsoe!) Clear, amber to copper colour with a mid-sized, light-beige foamy head. Sweet and toasty malt aroma, nutty with toffee and a faint fruity note. Sweet flavour, moderately toasted malty and nutty taste with toffee; light to medium bodied with a moderate, slightly crispy carbonation. Sweet and slightly bitter, also a bit slim finish with a light hoppy blend. Not overly demanding but still pretty drinkable.

Not a huge fan of the ambers but this one is surprisingly good. Definately more than what I expected. Sweet, and fruity. Was happily surprised.

Sampled at SBWF, 2007. Deep copper-red. Light nutty toffee-aroma. Sweet and malty flavour with toffee and nuts.

Skyview (4738) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - OCT 25, 2007
Picked up single 12-oz bottle at John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR. Pours a clear coppery amber brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and white ring. Aroma is very malty, sweet caramel malt, some fruity pears, and multi-grain biscuits. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a biscuity malt and flowery hop flavor. Finish has a good balance of malt and hop bitterness.

Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Pours a nice clear auburn like color. Nice sweet nose of toffee, pear, sweet biscuity malt, and a hint of granny smith apple. Nice balanced flavor that exudes a strong pear like fruity sweetness as well as a light dose of floral hops, banana, and biscuity malt. Nice light floral hoppiness on the finish with a light hint of the fruit. A very solid session beer.

Toffee aroma. Toffee and toasted caramel malt in the flavor. Nice and mildly sweet. Light on the palate with very minimal hops that leave it somewhat crisp in the finish.
