COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2008 Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, off-white, fully diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly hoppy (apricot), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Fresher bottle (new to Colorado), but still very boring. Not much like a German altbier either. Terrible head character/retention.

Copper/amber with a modest off-white head. Very little aroma, mostly hops and malt. Medium body. Hoppy at the start, malty finish. Good balance. Very drinkable, but not too exciting.

I may be bias but from the color to the taste this beer made me fall in love with ambers.

IEBAILI (123) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 22, 2007
Orange-amber color with a small off white head. Weak malty aroma. Smooth, just barely sweet; hints of cherry and orange. Just a little hop bite on the mostly dry finish. Thirst quenching and pleasant, but is it really worth the effort to ship this beer all the way from Alaska? It’s nothing special and there are lots of local alternatives here, and probably where you live too.
