COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.

Appearance is a small white head with amber color. Aroma is caramel malts. Taste is similar with sweet caramel and minimal bitterness. Overall not a lot of character, but very drinkable.

Aroma is a little lacking, but it pours a very nice, uhmm amber. Taste is initially some malty sweetness but just as it fades some dryness kicks in. Very balanced and enjoyable.

12 oz. bottle, consumed on 7-29-11. Pours an effervescent, clear, bright amber. Small amount of short-lasting beige head. Produces decent lacing. Simple smell of toast, biscuit, melon, raisin bread. Some light, dry hoppiness in the aroma. Simple but refreshing taste. Bland, like lightly hopped cardboard. A hint of fish. Not bad, just not much to it. Easy to drink. Medium body. Crisp. Refreshing. Likable palate effects. Alaskan Amber is a good choice if you’re looking for a beer to refresh and not to ponder.

delicious session brew for a great price. decent little hop profile, and nice cerealy and caramely malts, very light, almost a lager yest taste. good drinker and the price is right at 2.99 a bomber.

Sampled this twice on an Alaskan vacation. Both times on tap at El Sombrero in Juneau (7/5/2011) and at Trackers in Fairbanks (7/13/2011), Poured reddish amber color with a thin head. Nice balance and finish. Very drinkable beer but prefer Denali Red.

Very disappointing (especially after we finagled our way into getting an after-hours beer from the lodge at Lake Crescent. Boring at best, bad aftertaste at worst.

I am surprised they still make this. Pretty gross. First impression from the aroma is mac and cheese and then throw up. The only thing redeeming is the color. Beautiful red.
