Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate toffee, lighter caramel, roasted nuts, and a touch of fruit. It pours a transparent amber with a small beige head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is some thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate sweet toffee, caramel, and a hint of brown sugar. The finish has light roasted nuts, toasty notes, and a hint of fruit. It’s light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation,

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
nose: cream soda, earth, toffee,
palate: soft and sweet but complex. substantial carbonic acid adds a welcome edge and the texture is oily and creamy. tastes slightly smoky, malty, again cream soda but nutty and about half as sweet. superb! finish is all grainy and adds a dimension to finish this quite perfectly if you ask me.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 5/20
From bottle poured into a pint glass purchased in Denver. I don't know. I guess what you would expect out of a craft amber.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap, Butter Run Saloon, St. Clair Shores, MI. Not bad for a style that can pretty much be anything you want it to be. Easy to drink. Not a bad aftertaste on the palate.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 10/21/2014. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, light nuttiness, raisin, plum, apple, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, light nuttiness, raisin, plum, apple, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, light nuttiness, raisin, plum, apple, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and light earthy hop flavors; with great robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and fairly creamy mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice altbier style. All around good balance and robustness of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour from a 12oz bottle. Clear brown brew with tan head. Aroma of caramel and mild hps. Taste is sweet caramel, light toast, low hop profile; a sour grassy taste from mid swallow on. Ends sweet. Average palate. Reminds me of other alts and old ales and it is a style that offers little room for flare. An OK brew.

Draft at The Oak. Amber-copper pour with a small head that fades to almost nothing. Aroma is pretty faint with just some caramel and a light fruitiness. Tastes rather bland. Sweet malt, some caramel, light flowers and a hint of fruit. Average amber.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fine yellowish amber appearance, aromas of some sort of sweet and yeasty pastry. In the mouth this is super fruity and sweet, the hops just sort of add an unwelcome bitter aftertaste. Flavors are tutti frutti and honey, all together somewhat cloying.
