COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2006 12 oz bottle via Roth’s. Pours a crystal clear dark reddish amber with a nice average size dense head. Nose is a bit fruity, perhaps some cherries- with some caramel and molasses prevalent. And it is pretty sweet. Sort of a cross between a sweet nutty brown Ale and an amber ale. The hops are very subdued, perhaps they are British hops. Nice easy to drink tastey beer.

12oz bottle from Alaska thanks to Jen. Pours a dark copper colour with small white foam, which diminishes to an edge lacing. Aroma of malt, with some hops. Taste is quite malty and smooth, hop flavour is somewhat flowery as oh6gdx describes it. This beer great by itself, and also makes a great accompaniment to hot or spicy foods.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 6 Oct) Amber colour with small off-white head. Malty, nutty nose with notes of spicy hops. Malty taste with nuts, dark fruit, dried apricots and a balanced hoppy character in the finish. An allright amber ale but lacking something extra.

bottle via trade with Beerand Blues2. Aroma: Biscuity malt aroma with some caramel. Slight apple. Light spice and grass. Appearance: Reddish amber color and quite clear. Off white head was full and rocky with good retention. Some lacing. Flavor: Light caramel. Prominent biscuity flavor. Light sulfur notes. Some light yeast that leads into a subtle spiciness. Clean finish. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: A good, easy to drink brew with some nice flavors. Really enjoyed the biscuit in the aroma and flavor.

Bottled. Amber colour, small off-shite head. Aroma is hops, caramel, salt, malts and slight barnyardish hints. Flavour is flowery hops, salt water and grass. Quite full with stuff, but still a boring brew.

Bottled. Amber red color, small white head. Some toffee and malts in the nose. Sweetish with pale malts in the background. Malty, sweetish aftertaste. Boring ...

GABF 06. Amber in color obviously. Aroma is caramel malt, with some hops. Taste is caramel with a good hop balance and a clean finish.
