Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

Much better than anticipated. Moderate malt and grain aroma. Nice dark amber color with sustainable head. Heavy palate. The feel was weighty and almost creamy. Nice carbonation level. This was a cross between an amber and an alt with a good malty and bread backbone. Not much else, especially in the way of hops but it didn’t seem to need it. One of my new favorites among this brewery’s core products.

Reasonable aroma, red/opaque appearance, with a confident/bold taste and warm finish. I rate it in my top 25% of all beers tasted overall.

12oz bottle - pours a deep reddish amber . Strong malt aroma with hints of herbal hops . Taste is not you average amber , bigger malt punch with a nice bitter hop balance . Very sessionable . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Eh. Poured amber brown. Malts in the nose. Taste was way too sweet for me. Otherwise, just pretty plain.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark caramel-brown color with a large orange-white head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty with a note of toasted caramel. The flavor was sweet, malty and tangy with toasty caramel, honey and a bit of ripe fruits. Medium length finish. Smooth body. Pleasant and easy drinking.

Reddish amber with fizzy head. Aroma of caramel, light hops, and a little fruit. Flavor is similar with some citrus. A good thirst-quenching smooth beer.

Draft pour at brat stop. Clear red with white head. Smooth and wheaty. Light. Mild citrus flavor. Carmel notes. I like it for an amber beer. They serve this right in a frosted cold mug

On draught. Pours red with a fine creamy head. Aroma is light caramel. Taste is dry, slight caramel, little hops. Thin mouthfeel.

Ambrée sombre, faible carbonation. Mousse orangée, peu persistante. Nez simple, sans grand intérêt. Goût malté, très peu houblonné, assez faible et sucré (trop), rappelant un peu celui du mou de raisin. Pas top...

On tap at Seatec. Clear amber pour with an off white head. Malty aromas. Big malty presence with mild non-descript hop notes. Average body and mouthfeel.
