COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

Glass. Aroma isn't super strong. Nice Amber color to it. Very crisp and clean taste. Definitely recommend. Especially if you are a fan of amber beers ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ARH (663) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 27, 2015
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Sweet honey aromas are noted with sweet berries and a light cinnamon, as well as a caramel malt note. It’s a deep oily clear amber with an off white, big puffy foam head that slowly dissipates to a good medium thick fuzzy ring and a dusty surface and an abundant soapy lace. The taste is medium malty sweet and medium light bitter. The beer is oily with a light foam carbonation. The medium body holds grass notes, honey, citrus, and light toffee. It finishes with citrus zest and spice and leaves an aftertaste of light molasses. It’s a bit cloying and astringent with notes of spice and bitter citrus membrane with wax and a touch of pine.

On tap - San Diego - good pour. Red with good head. Aroma is better than the taste. Has honey - but not enough. Some sweetness and caramel flavors.

Clear dark copper pour with a thin creamy to oily off white head. Aroma is caramel, toast, light nutty notes, bread crust, and hints of caramelized tree fruit. Flavor is caramel, deep toasty notes, honey roasted nuts, light lactose-like sweetness, deep floral hops, spicy hops, a hint of cooked banana, bread crust and a hint of citrus. Medium body, medium to heavy, blanketing and sharp carbonation, chewy entry, drier, but still chewy finish. Really good stuff, rich and malty and sweet, but not overly sweet. Definitely over carbonated though.

Got a bottle thanks to my BinL who drove all the way to Michigan for it. A really nice cooper colored ale with modest head much like the Dusseldorf Alt ales. A little hint of yeast makes it the better

Bottle (12oz drank from bottle) Did not give this a fair chance, but generally a pretty light bodied beer with mild malts and little bitterness. Easy drinking.
