Small tan head that dissipates quickly ending up looking like a glass of iced tea. Clear amber hued brew. Lightly grainy nose, malty. Medium body, dead. Buttery malt flavors, lightly sweet. Fairly dry malty finish. Was expecting a bit more from this one, hmmmm? Thanks to fordest for the trade!

As the name indicates, a true amber. Small white head. Nutty robust malted nose. Slightly bitter but not as much so as most German alts. Sweet with earthy, fruity hints. Finished a little watery but quite nice overall.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 asheft (2030) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 5, 2005
Clear brown with a fuzzy, beige cover. Faint, fruity aroma with some raisin/currant and a touch of caramel. Raisiny malt flavour with very subtle hops. Alcoholic banana notes. Some low bittering and a little bit of a spicy bite from the malt(?). Medium body and low carbonation. Clean finish. Nothing remarkable.

Thanks to Fordest for this one- Pours a Rich, orange amber color with a some nice head to it. Smell is nice and toasty sweet malt and toffee. Mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy. Tastes is good and heavily on the malty side of ambers. No real sign of hops to speak of, but it is a nice, tasty easy drinking beer. I definitely enjoyed this one.

[Tap] Pours a rusty orange color with a large cap of white foam head. Dry caramel malts, bread and grains in the aroma. Amber malts, mild nut and vanilla, some light fruit and cereal grain qualities in the taste. Creamy mouthfeel and lasting, thick finish. Honestly, there wasn’t anything too out of the ordinary with the flavor of this beer. What sets this beer apart is the solid mouthfeel that one rarely finds in this beer style. Overall... tasty, hearty and very sessionable.
