COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

Quickly disspating head, deep copper color. Nice malt, very slight bitterness. Really nothing great, but it is fairly balanced and the carbination level is good, but the head went down so fast...

GABF 06. Amber in color obviously. Aroma is caramel malt, with some hops. Taste is caramel with a good hop balance and a clean finish.

Very, VERY sweet...with a cloying candi sugar note. Some very light herbal hopping, but pretty subtle. Light notes of nuts and caramel. OK, I guess.

Pours with a fluffy semi-loose head with a lighter amber color. The aroma is coppery with a spicy and sweet malty character with some cinnamon thrown in... cool. The flavor is nutty and roasty (roasted nuts?) with some apple. The beer is largely dry but with a nice caramel backbone and just enough hop bitterness to make it remarkably well rounded. This reminds me a bit of the Uerige Classic. and pears, thoroughly enjoyable.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, reddish copper colored body with a thin, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is sweet malt with a light caramel and a good amount of floral fruit. Prunes, cherry, apples, bananas, dry clove, nuts, and a hint of hop. Flavor is similar. Sweet malts and fruity. The fruits give off a bit of a tartness with more of the cherries, prunes, and apples. A light banana-clove, nutty toast, and caramel before this completely dries with a nice, floral bitterness. Somewhat earthy and grassy too. Very clean with a medium length aftertaste. Light body and smooth. Overall, a decent beer. I thought the bitterness was a bit awkward at first, but it really grew on me. Although there are better ambers/altbiers, this was easy drinking and enjoyable. Not bad.

I enjoy this one from time to time, but my best experience came when I had it in Alaska with my wife while we were on a cruise. It went INCREDIBLY well with the king salmon chowder that a local micro-brew in Skagway was selling. While the bottle version is slightly different, it is still very good. Complex malt flavour, medium-bodied, and just the right amount of hops to let you know they are there. Copper colored with a nice white head. Nothing else can really be said that hasn’t. Always a good buy.

Nice amber color, small fast fading off white head.Malty, sweet aroma,Malty taste slight bitter side mildly hopped with a malt after taste and faint hops in the after taste as well. The alcohol seems to peek through from time to time in the taste and faintly in the going down a slight burn.Still a fairly good brew.

Tap.WTF - boring. Just caramel malt in aroma and taste. Nothing else. Bleh.
