12 oz bottle. Pours an amberish amber, with a decent head that didn’t last long. Aromas were mostly malty and a decent hop character in the flavor. Slightly bitter finish. OK beer.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Kevin (1951) - Colorado, USA - JAN 16, 2005
ruby brown with a large light brown creamy head. sweet malt nose that doesn’t give a hint of hops. bubblegum flavor. this is very malty with a lingering candy finish. there is a slight tartness in there that is a great counter point to this sugary sweetness.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 ABUSEDGOAT (1937) - California, USA - NOV 3, 2006
tap: clear amber. Aroma is malty with notes of bread, caramel and a hint of hops. Flavor is not really like the other Altbiers I’ve had. Very carbonated mouthfeel, doesn’t really have that slippery texture. A decent beer, but came off as flawed.

Nice fluffy cotton head sits atop a moderately carbonated burnt orange body. The aroma is all malt with caramel & toffee dominant. Flavor is sweeter than most. A good drinkable session beer. Solid.
