COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

Amber in color with a decent sized beige head. Aroma is sweet and malty. There is a slight bubblegum aroma. Taste is very malty and sweet with flavors of and toffee.

Thanks to sdbruboy for this unexpected bonus!! A perfect session beer, minus the fact that it is brewed clear up in Alaska and we Midwesterners have no local distributors of it! Caramel and hoppy aroma, matched the taste. Balanced and refreshing. I’m still pissed at my friends for "accidentally" drinking my Alaskan Xmas beer last year!

I am not too familiar with altbiers, this is my first - but to me this tasted like nothing more than a red, lighter scotch ale. Pretty malty, more easy to drink though, not bad all in all. I’d drink it again.

Pours a goldern amber with almost no head. Aroma of caramel, hops and malts. Somewhat overly carbonated with a dry aftertaste. Tastes of caramel, malts, and nuts.

I’ve been hearing about Alaskan Amber for ages. It seems to be the "Fat Tire" of the Northwest. Lets see if the rumors are true. Deep Red. Very pleasant mulched apple aroma covering grapes, toasted grain and sweet malts. This is a very good Alt. The fruitiness comes abound first. It’s all over the palate and oh so pleasant. Caramel and sweet malts next. The finish makes you know it’s an Alt beer. It’s crisp, clean, dry and nutty. The hops are minimal but balance this beer well. I’m very surprised with this offering. Nice stuff.

Bottle, poured dark amber with a small and rapidly diminishing head. Carmel malt dominates the aroma, alfalfa and hops also present. Flavor is sweet, slightly spicey with a mild bitter finish. Smooth palate with good carbonation. Not anything extraordinary, just a nice amber ale.

Bottle. Nice presentation -- a redder amber, good foam retention. Aroma is great too -- yeast, hops and caramel. Light medium body with a bit more extending bitterness than malt texture and flavor.

I think of it as a Mass Market Bland Craft Brew, but it’s had something consistently good going on.
