3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jcr (1621) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - AUG 29, 2008
Bottle. Small, off-white head that recedes. Medium amber body. The aroma contains toasted grain, dough. Very little hop aroma. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Some acidity. The finish remains sweet though the sweetness diminishes. The light bitterness contnues and there is a slight tartness that lingers. Medium body with a watery texture and lively carbonation. Comfortable enough with a subtle, but solid malt body. Beyond that, unimpressive.

Nice amber color with nothing special and nothing offensive. A generaly tasty beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Vertical Bacon Strips (1616) - Asshat, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 23, 2010
Another delay, this time in Seattle has given me another 25 minutes to continue my march toasted fatness. On tap. Very nice hue of medium amber, super clean with a small light tan cap with tiny speckles. Hard to judge the crown when my glass was filled to the tits. Drinking this cold with chance of warming do to flight boarding in 11 minutes. Very malty with thick caramel, lots of bready notes, some tropical fruit, nectarine and apple, hints of grass is a possibility, and a background candy sweetness. Boarding in 7 mins. Tasty and malty with lots of warm bread. Random fruitiness, lemon, odd mild cinnamon spice, dizziness is setting in. In sure take off will be fun. Another highly carbonated brew. Slick feel. Numbing overall.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 drjay44 (1613) - Salida, Colorado, USA - MAR 11, 2008
Rather unflavorful to my over hopped palate. But, good balance and pleasant overall. I think it would be better as a summer beverage, and I can tell that a week in the Utah desert would raise this up to a 4.5 or better. It is just a little light to what I have the good fortune to be consuming recently.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Goodgrief (1608) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - FEB 2, 2008
June 2006 - Thanks to eaglefan538 for sharing with me. This was an enjoyable amber. Nice head, even with only my 6 oz sample. Mouthfeel was thick and almost sticky. Flavor was sweet malts, some nuttyness and some mild european type bittering hops in the end. Complex and enjoyable.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jpm30 (1587) - East Central, Georgia, USA - MAY 19, 2006
Made a decent appearance, poured a clear reddish amber with a foamy pale tannish head that quickly settled into a thin lacing, moderate carbonation.
Very faint aromas, toasted grains and a nutty, sweet malty.
A semi-crisp, smooth medium bodied mouth feel, average drinkability.
Semi-sweet tea and floral light hop bitterness, a watery toasted graininess, nutty and caramelized sugary maltiness and a watery sweet and fruity finish.
This is my least favorite beer I’ve had from Alaskan Brewing, an average altbier at best.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JMFG (1582) - Florida, USA - JAN 11, 2008
Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with very little head. Aroma of light toasted malts and subtle hops, but besides that a very clean aroma. Taste is a bit on the sweet side, but still very malty, with some caramel spiciness coming out on the back end. Palate is quite thick considering the 5% ABV. Very drinkable, but unexciting.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 brewblackhole (1581) - Muskego, Wisconsin, USA - APR 3, 2004
Wonderful malt aroma, clear amber color, smooth malt taste, little bit of a nut finish and a little bitter at the end. This was nice but when I had it in Alaska it was near top rated stuff
