COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

9-13-07 bottle. Amber pour with just okay head. Very malty smell. More flavor needed. Little bit of coating on the tongue. Decent overall.

Sweet caramel in the aroma mixes with lightl roasted malts and some hops. Brilliantly clear amber with a nice white head and plenty of effervescent bubbles. Caramel malts bounce around in harmony with some toast and bitterness. Some tin in the flavor, but delish otherwise. Thanks Andre!

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2008 Overall good beer - the aroma is fruity, the flavor yeast like and ending on a slightly bitter note. Much better altbier than Pinkus’. A good session beer, and at 5% you can session quite a bit. ON SECOND ANALYSIS: I like this stuff in session. A half yard filled with this stuff goes down very well. The malts really linger on the aftertaste - after the initial bitter goes away.

Draft at Library Alehouse in Santa Monica, CA. Pours a deep brown with ruby highlights and a light tan head. The aroma is toast, toffee, and fruit. The flavor follows the aroma: sweet, toasty, caramel toffee, subtle chocolate, unexpectedly ester-fruity. The finish is full, and the mouthfeel is medium-full in body with soft carbonation. Overall, a very interesting ale. I’ve never had an authentic altbier, so I can’t speak to the accuracy of this product, but I was pleasantly surprised by it.

22 oz Bomber-Trade w/after4ever. Pours a beautiful mahogany/copper color w/a small off white head. Malty, grassy, slightly roasted aroma. Sweet, roasted, floral, malty taste. Just enough hops to balance out the finish. Long grainy hoppy finish. Very smooth, very drinkable, very enjoyable. Would definately be a good sesson beer. I’ve always wanted to try this beer and have finally gotten the chance. Thanks for the trade!!

Pours a dark red color with small white head. Aroma is feint, of fruit and malt. Flavor is cherries, malt and hops. Palate is happy, beer is a decent one! Thanks to Indiana Red for this tasty brew!
