COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

Pours a dark but clear amber with a minimal head and a freshly sparged grain aroma, very raw and malty. Tastes like a Maibock, very bready and sweet. Decent carb, body is reasonable thick, not bad but I’ve had better Altbiers. Thanks to G for the trade!

On tap at The Yard House in Denver, CO. Reddish-orange pour with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of bready malts and light floral hops. Nice, perfectly balanced flavor that is none too hoppy and none too sweet. Very sessionable and quite nice.

Alaskan Amber is an all around good beer... I said it’s "Good", not "Great".

Pours clear red/abmer with a thin soapy white head. Aroma of light toffee, cookie malts, and some vegetable nuiances. Some chocolate, wood, brown bread crusts. A Smidgen of brown sugar. Toasty dry finish. Thin.

Can’t picture anyone in Alaska drinking this one but I’m not the biggest altbier fan. p.s. wish I had another Jamaica Red Ale

On tap at the brewery. Got the history and its more impressive than the beer. A little darker and heavier than I expected. Not as malty as an altbier. Not bad, just not as good as the pale.

orange brown. slight tan head, a bit frothy. smells so fresh, baked bread. immediate sweetness hits my tongue. excellent. sweet/(slight fruit/apple) - moderated flavor leaves me for more. pleasant aftertaste. a bit thick to my stomach - buttery (& a bit syrupy/cloying), smooth, could be the buttery end that's too thick for me. pleasant beer though. thanks tannertavernboy!

22oz bottle that was amber in color (no surprise right?). The smell was a very nice fruity aroma. I liked it. The taste however was kinda funky and departed from the smell. It was very easy to drink and I thought it would be a decent session beer but I am going to have to drink this a second time to form a good opinion.
