COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

bottled. darkish amber. very sweet aroma and flavour, raw sugar, caramel, was surprised at the lack of hop profile here

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of malts and some caramel. Poured amber/orange in color with a tiny white head that disappeared immediately. Slightly cloudy. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malts, skunk, and caramel. Medium body. Oily texture. Skunk, malt and caramel finish. Not really an Alt, and not a beer I would buy again.

Another gift from the mother-in-law after an Alaskan cruise. The beer is a dark brownish but clear color with a medium and creamy beige head. Thin lacing. The aroma is nicely malted and toasty. Medium-bodied and smooth, with malt, caramel and nut flavors in varying degrees. Light hop finish. Overall not the best Alt available but I was impressed enough that I would get it again.

Braudog (4473) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - FEB 17, 2004
Dark amber or rusty red with decent head, but it quickly subsided. Vague caramel tones on the nose; the flavor is similarly understated, caramel and lightly malted with a sweet finish. Disappointingly still.

Toffee aroma. Toffee and toasted caramel malt in the flavor. Nice and mildly sweet. Light on the palate with very minimal hops that leave it somewhat crisp in the finish.

350 ml bottle from Bevmo. Copper color with a fizzy white head. Slightly sweet malty aroma and taste with a smooth bready finish.

Poured a clear deep amber color with a small off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma. The flavor was sweet and malty with an earthy hop on the crisp finish. Semi-dry finish.

12-oz. Pours a dark amber with a modest medium-white head. Big bready, yeasty nose. The body approaches middleweight, with some mild carb. The attack is cardboardy mild malt with some sweet malt on the mid palate, and a slightly sour, vacant finish.
