COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

Pours a glowing copper with a light eggshell head. Soft pale malty aroma. Flavor is light, semi-sweet, and earthy. This is a good altbier that is well-balanced.

I am more apt to have this beer in my fridge than any other. I have yet to get bored with it despite having consumed substantial amounts over time. Great amber colour, decent palate, wonderfully balanced. Nice hint of roasted malt. The ESB may be just a tad better/more complex but both are highly drinkable perfectly decent brews.

Nice malty alt. Wonderful dark amber color. Sweet toffee malt kept lively by the somewhat prickly carbonation. I thought it was going to veer into overly sweet territory, but a nice dry hoppyness kept it in check and provided only enought balance - I wouldn't want this any hoppier for the style. (thanks jsquire)

Nice bronze body, with a light, off-white head, a pleasantly mild malt aroma, a good balance between the malt and hops, crisp and refreshing, and very smooth front to back. Pretty good.

Excellent beer really liked it the first time I had it. It has a sweetness to it that is really pleasing.

Draught at an overpriced seafood restaurant in Seattle. Nice reddish-amber with a good sized head. Aroma of toasty malt with a pleasant sweetness. Medium, refreshing body. Well-balanced flavour of malt, caramel, and clean, fresh hops. A solid session beer.

Medium copper color, large head. Complex malt flavor, medium hopped. Malts have a near fruitlike taste (pear?) Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is malty, very little bitterness. Complex taste, very smooth. Very drinkable. Nice beer.

draft@ Alaska Lodge SEA. Clear amber color with a thin head. Spicy sweet caramel aroma with mild grainy malt. Flavor mirrors the aroma with lightly sweet n’ spicy caramel and grainy malt grist. Nicely bitter hoppy finish.
