COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

Bottle. Clear dark amber body, not much head. You know those worthless orange/black taffy-peanut butter candies they give out on halloween? This smells like those alongside crystal malt. Great malt flavor - clean clear sweet caramel and toasted malt finishing with a hint of minerals and grassy hops. Medium body with a ticklish carbonation.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2004 Rerate Had again up in Alaska - much fresher and it is a style I am really beginning to appreciate with is subtleness and sweet bitterness Original 3.5Had on tap at the Copper Sky Grill in Seattle. Has a pleasant, sparkly light copper appearance with a decent off white head with a wee bit of lacing. No real noticeable aroma. Has a bit of an sweet caramel flavor to it - very drinkable. One of the best Alts I have had. Loses a bit of its luster near the end however.

Bottle. Dark amber with lasting head. Light caramel and hops aroma. Nice mouthfeel. Light caramel flavour with hop finish. Nice pub pint. Works everywhere that the Pale did not.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2005 Burnt Beer Night: Amber color (I should hope so) with a thin head. Fruity aroma. Taste was fairly grainy along with some regular malt tastes. A little dry on the backside, but quite a tasty brew. Update: This time I found more maple in the aroma. The taste is still predominantly grainy, but has a hit of rye or pumpernickel.

Nice! I normally go for dark brews, so this one was quite a suprise. Spiced right and nicely balanced- colour was a golden-brown with a lasting fizz. Mouthfeel was a little thin. Easy to drink and nice all-round.

Bottle. Pours a clear reddish amber with a minimal head. Nose is clean, malt and caramel. Flavor is smooth, sweetness and malt with just a hop sprinkle to allow the other flavors the opportunity to be heard. Definately a beer to have more than one of, unfortunately I only had one :-(.

This is a nice malt ale. Very closely matching the alt style. Malty, smooth, and medium bodied.

12oz Bottle from Fordest. Pours a ruby amber color with minimal fizzy head. Nose is almost vacant, some light caramel notes here and there. Taste is very nice though. A great malt feeling, rich nuttiness, and some sweet caramel, rounded out with a nice bitter finish.
