COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

This is a nice amber; medium brown color, malty sweet nose with a hint of hops, flavor is very similar to the nose, medium body, finshes a little bitter but not overwhelming.

Excellent all the way around. On tap at a Chili’s in Colorado Springs. Beautiful amber color and a moderate, foamy head. Had little alcohol taste and was exceptionally smooth. Slightly sweet and not bitter. To me, it seemed to have a citrus-y quality not unlike a few Hef’s I’ve consumed. Overall, I was simply pleased to have an option of quality beer instead of the normal macro crap.

Pours with a fluffy semi-loose head with a lighter amber color. The aroma is coppery with a spicy and sweet malty character with some cinnamon thrown in... cool. The flavor is nutty and roasty (roasted nuts?) with some apple. The beer is largely dry but with a nice caramel backbone and just enough hop bitterness to make it remarkably well rounded. This reminds me a bit of the Uerige Classic. and pears, thoroughly enjoyable.

Small frothy head out of the bottle with a beautiful carmel accent. I really enjoyed this one and was looking for more at the bottle of the glass.

Nice clean amber/orange/red color with light white head. Malt profile prominent, nice body. Slight cloying finish. A good beer but was surprised by the off finish.

Nutmeg and caramel nose. Deep red-copper, minimal head. Full malt sweetness, slow subtle bitterness. Smooth carbonation, finishes fairly clean. Very drinkable and enjoyable beer.

in a trade withThis bottled brew poured a small sized head of fine to medium sized of unnoted length white colored bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body contained soft carbonation, was transparent and caramel brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of sweet malty bready . Its mouth feel is initially tingly with a palate and a very mild bock aftertaste. Its flavor contained sweet malt mild cherry notes. Strange blackdonald

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Pint. Best before July 29, 2011. Appearance: Clear, rich amber with nice off-white head. Aroma: Spicy noble hops (slightly metallic), cherry and other dark fruits. Slight biscuit notes. Taste: Very fruity and caramel-like. Some breadiness, with a finish that is slightly spicy, but the fruitiness carries through nicely. Palate: Moderately high carbonation, light to medium body that is somewhat reminiscent of a lager. Somewhat spritzy. Semi-dry finish. Overall: Very strong everyday beer and somewhat unique for a flagship. Not the best Alt I have had, but both refreshing and full-flavored, and that was about all I expected.
