COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer is based on a turn-of-the-century recipe that quenched the thirst of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. Smooth and richly malty, this altbier goes well with any meal.

Draught > Sidewinders, Jackson Hole, WY. Good reddish appearance, little creamy palate. Nice full mouthfeel. Good balance. Would drink again.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber color, almost coppery, clear with lots of bubbles, and a compact white head that didn’t leave much lacing behind. Aroma is malty and very fruity, and I found it to be extremely pleasant. Flavor is very sweet, a bit of bitterness in the finish, but it doesn’t overpower the sweetness. Good balance between maltiness and the light fruity flavors, not much hoppiness. Mouthfeel is about right, but I thought its carbonation level was too high, I had bubbles crawling through my mouth. Overall, a respectable brew.

Very malty. Not hoppy. Makes a good quenching beer that does not turn bad when it gets warm. I should buy this more often for friends who want to start to venture out of the swill.

Had this many years ago on tap out west and remembered enjoying it thoroughly. Bottle: Amber pour with a thick light tan head. aroma is toasted malt, caramel, slightly nutty, light woody hop. flavour is toasted malt. medium sweetness. caramel/toffee. Could use a bit more balancing bitterness in the finish.

Dark copper color with a decent head. The aromas were mild but fresh malts medium roasted and light sprucy hops. The taste was decent, with a fair blend of hops and malts, not very bitter for my preference and less dry than I prefer. But from what I undertand of the style, it is supposed to be more balanced and have the hops more subdued. So, rating by the style, then I guess it is pretty good rendition.

Tasting was a draft in Anchorage that had a full amber color and nice thick white head that held. Pleasant aroma and very malty taste with a crisp clean finish. Easily had more than one.

Courtesy of fordest. Bottle. Aroma light and sweet caramel. Poured just like the label indicated. Flavor was all malts, sweet and caramel. Palate was good. Overall this was just solid, a nice drinker something you could easily have a few more.
