chokmah33 (87), Bremerton, Washington, USA May 10, 2008 Ruby colored, rather than amber.
Aroma of toffee, banana + white grape fruits, sour hops. Sweet, doughy malts.
Taste of white wine + nuts up front, pastry and carmel lighlty toasted malty mid, toffee. Finish is metalic and lackluster.
Palate is overcarbonated for my tongue.
It’s drinkable, I’ve just played it out I guess.

~Sweet and spicy scent. Caramel and nutmeg.
~Malty biscuit flavor. Sweet, but with a bit of spice.
~Medium feel with carbonation tingles.
~Well balanced brew. Taste good anytime of year. Spice reminds me of the holidays though. Not very interesting.
Maria (3816), Thisted, Denmark Jul 19, 2008 Courtesy of Fonefan. The color is red amber and the head is creamy. The aroma is fruity and spicy with notes of malt and caramel. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of malt, caramel, fruit, spices, a little nuts and candy sugar. It’s OK, but at the same time a bit ordinary. dkachur (632), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jul 17, 2008 Bottle from my Secret Santa. Thanks! Copper-tinged red w/ a medium head. Biig malt aroma with spicy hops, dark fruits and toffee. Delicate tea and grain taste that finishes with a caramel sweetness. Subtle off flavors (ammonia, chlorine). Smooth, medium body. alexsdad06 (558), Ohio, USA Jul 4, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small diminishing white head. The aroma is caramel malt, lightly toasted grains, and light fruity hops. The flavor is more roasted than the nose indicated. Roasted caramel malts, light fruit (plum/prune), mild bitterness, and toffee. Medium bodied fairly easy to drink.
