2007 vintage captured in a sweet trade with ratebeer superstar after4ever. Thanks buddy.
Pours deep clear amber with thin tan head. The aroma is semi rich, but not as rich as the Arctic Devil just was for the last beer, with fruity esters and some pine hops. The taste is rich and sweet with malty roasty yet sugar sweet maltiness moving into dark fruity esters of sweet Concord grape jam, ripe cherries, plums, dates and figs. It has a sizable amount of pine hop bitterness. Terrific American Barleywine.

Aug 7, 2008 Bomber 2007 vintage courtesy of JB175. Pours a fairly clear reddish brown with one finger tan head and delicate lacing. Nose is sweet caramel, molasses and mild hops. Taste is dark fruits, brown sugar, and caramel with a nice bitter hop finish. Sweet enough to hide the big alcohol content but not cloyingly so. Full mouth feel. This is a great BW. Thanks Jason!

Aug 7, 2008 Dark brown with red hues and a beige bubbly head that thinned out as time expired. Aroma is very malty with lots of dark fruit, brown sugar, and candy. Light chocolate and roast too. Very fruity. The flavor starts with a hoppy burst of floral, pine, and citrus. Tobacco follows and mixes with dark fruits and some chocolate. As it warms flavors of cherries and a light tartness shows up. Smooth and drinkable. Alcohol is light for the ABV.

Aug 6, 2008 Bottle. A deep red beer with a big beige head. The aroma is of caramel, rye bread, hop and alcohol, the taste is sweet malty, caramel rye bread, alcohol and a bit acid. Medium to full body with a warming alcoholic finish.

Aug 5, 2008 Bottle sampled at RBSG ’08. 2007. Pours with a depp mohagony body topped by a thick, tan head with a good amount of lacing. It’s malty and sweet with a nice caramel note and a light piney hop character. Full bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

Aug 2, 2008 Red with a small head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit and hops. Flavor is again of caramel with hops - sweet beer, but well balanced.
