JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 19, 2006 Draught Amber-foxy; fast disappearing yellow head. Nice clean hoppy nose, nowhere overdone. A bit cloying-cookie taste, hoppiness is needed to keep it in check. Slight burning MF, certain slickness. Good mainstream amber. Aubrey (2557), Denver, Colorado, USA Jul 6, 2004 On tap at the Hangar in Juneau: Clear and copper in color. Crisp and lively carbonation. Lightish body; mouthfeel was a little watery at times, but not too bad. Malts were really nice -- toasted with sweet caramel overtones. Hop bitterness wasn’t very noticeable at first, but it built a little with time, and bitterness was more noticeable in the aftertaste. Hops had mild aromas and flavors of flowers and herbs; a little drying on the tongue. Overall, pretty good, but I would’ve liked it a little maltier and a little hoppier. But I suppose it’s a pretty good session beer, which is probably what was intended.
