Bright aroma with a good floral quality, especially early on. Flavor-wise, this settled into a less distinctive APA, with moderate malt backbone and tempered hops--Iím surprised to see the Cascade and Centennial, less surprised by the Citra. Drinkable. Bottle.

Mildly hazy orange color with a soapy head and high amount of carbonation. Nose has a distinct grapefruit, citrus hops and caramel malts. Flavor consists of citrus hops, barley, caramel, malts and a resin aftertaste. Body is moderate in weight and the carbonation is mild. Good but not great.

Bottle: Clear dark copper color with a large, creamy beige head. Decent bits of lacing. Has all the qualities I like in what could be a daily drinker. Nose is bright with citrus and resin, light malt presence. A flavorful taste, but not over the top. Good citrus and resin and again Iím only lightly aware of the caramel malts. Good stuff, Iíd drink this again any time.

Very straightforward. Subtle aromas and flavors. Ok mouthfeel. Decent finish, with a mild bitterness. Easy drinking.. A good quaffing beer. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Location: 12 oz bottle from Central Market, 8/26/13

Aroma: The nose of this one is pretty hoppy, with some pine/grass, citrus, and a bit of spice
Appearance: It pours an orange color with a small foam of off-white head and some spotty lace
Flavor: The flavor is dry and bitter up-front and lightly sweet, the bitterness fades in the finish
Palate: The body is medium, it has some stickiness, plus carbonation, and a shortish duration
Overall Impression: This is a more than solid APA, that I may even have given a higher score, except the hop flavor just doesnít sustain through the whole palate. Other than the brevity of the flavor, I donít have many complaints. Nice stuff.

Perfect example of an APA. Not super bitter, well rounded, hoppy and smooth with a little sweetness. All this from the bottle when you need to get Sierra Nevada in a can to come even close to its balance.

Bottle:   Dark orangish straw, some haze, thin to moderate frothy white head, little lacing.   Pale hop nose, a little stale, some wet blanket notes.   Faint hoppiness on the tongue, a touch grainy, with some wet blanket bringing up the backside.   Not as sharp as their normal Pale Ale.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft hops, a little grainy, minor earth, and a stale aspect that I cannot shake.   Not as bright as their standard Pale, which was only fair.   Not really a fan.   Not bright, like most Alaskan beers.   Perhaps I had my hopes too high?
