3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is so juicy. Plenty of nice hop character but only enough bitterness to stop it being sweet. This is a very nice session ale.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Clear pale amber with a short white head. Surprisingly enjoyable nose, though it is basic, the Cascade orange juiciness plays with some English-like hop moss / mustiness, which is confusing to be given the inclusion of Citra (and thankfully this isnít another Citra shallot / pee / pineapple bomb). Decent caramel / stroopwafel cookie malt core, a bit too sugary but not unpleasant. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Good acid, good balance. Crusty grains and stale bread crust with some green vegetal hops and stewed tea leaves (thereís the Centennial) once it warms. Becomes more bitter and rough with time and warmth, but overall itís a pretty solid American pale.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle- Pours slightly hazy golden with a one finger white head that slowly reduces. Aroma is fresh citrusy hops, man I love the smell of hops, there is also a light sweet malt taste. Taste is not as good as the aroma, hops are there, but they donít really stand out, but this is a pale ale after all. Body is medium light and carbonation is bubbly and prickly. Good hop forward pale.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poofy, air-filled head sits atop a golden-amber body. Light leafyness with a hint of soap esters, a bit of a muted nose. Body is softly leafy, but uncomplex, and a bit stillborn. This never quite develops, and is undone by a hollow, tinny underpinning. Disappointing for an Alaskan offering--I wish they would revive the ESB, which was vastly superior to free ride, and better differentiated as well.
