3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mildly hazy orange color with a soapy head and high amount of carbonation. Nose has a distinct grapefruit, citrus hops and caramel malts. Flavor consists of citrus hops, barley, caramel, malts and a resin aftertaste. Body is moderate in weight and the carbonation is mild. Good but not great.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Clear dark copper color with a large, creamy beige head. Decent bits of lacing. Has all the qualities I like in what could be a daily drinker. Nose is bright with citrus and resin, light malt presence. A flavorful taste, but not over the top. Good citrus and resin and again I’m only lightly aware of the caramel malts. Good stuff, I’d drink this again any time.

Very straightforward. Subtle aromas and flavors. Ok mouthfeel. Decent finish, with a mild bitterness. Easy drinking.. A good quaffing beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: 12 oz bottle from Central Market, 8/26/13
Aroma: The nose of this one is pretty hoppy, with some pine/grass, citrus, and a bit of spice
Appearance: It pours an orange color with a small foam of off-white head and some spotty lace
Flavor: The flavor is dry and bitter up-front and lightly sweet, the bitterness fades in the finish
Palate: The body is medium, it has some stickiness, plus carbonation, and a shortish duration
This is a more than solid APA, that I may even have given a higher score, except the hop flavor just doesn’t sustain through the whole palate. Other than the brevity of the flavor, I don’t have many complaints. Nice stuff.

4.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Perfect example of an APA. Not super bitter, well rounded, hoppy and smooth with a little sweetness. All this from the bottle when you need to get Sierra Nevada in a can to come even close to its balance.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Dark orangish straw, some haze, thin to moderate frothy white head, little lacing.   Pale hop nose, a little stale, some wet blanket notes.   Faint hoppiness on the tongue, a touch grainy, with some wet
blanket bringing up the backside.   Not as sharp as their normal Pale Ale.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft hops, a little grainy, minor earth, and a stale aspect that I cannot shake.   Not as bright as their
standard Pale, which was only fair.   Not really a fan.   Not bright, like most Alaskan beers.   Perhaps I had my hopes too high?

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap on the WSF Walla Walla, headed to Bremerton. Pours slightly cloudy pale orange copper with medium white head. Aroma is light caramel malt and thin floral hops. Taste is faintly sweet pale malt that finishes earthy. Nice mild bitter finish with fresh citrus and floral notes from the hops. Very nice for a pale, the fresh hops really distinguish this one.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle that I picked up in Jackson, WY during my recent visit to Yellowstone. Pours a hazy golden amber with a moderate off-white head. Very pleasant aroma that has ample citrus hops along with some pale malt. The flavor is similar although not as fruity as the aroma. Moderate hops bitterness at the finish. On the lighter side of medium bodied. No problems.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
355 ml bottle. Pours a very thinly veiled, yet otherwise clear pale golden amber with a resilient, thin white head. Aroma is toasted malts. Flavor is cereals, hints of fruits, malty, toasty. Finish is a nice shot of citrus, mostly grapefruit and lemon, earthy notes. Light body, watery mouthfeel, average carbonation. Fine APA.
