12 oz. bottle from a 4pack served in a shaker- poured a very murky and disturbing solid copper color, light carbonation. Aroma of hops by the ton, pine, and some caramel. Hits the mouth with a wide medium body, malt is only slightly sweet but acidity from the middle carries well past the finish. Rough day- but this helps.

Tap. Dark copper. Very tiny amount of lingering head. Sort of boozey nose. Great hopping paired with a sweet alcohol quality. Heavy, but good.

Bottle pours a golden orange brew with a white top. Nose of pine, fruit and caramel. Taste is sweet with some citrus notes. Some notes of tea are unpleasant.

A great double IPA. Beautiful orange with terrific lacing. Fresh green hop aromas. Flavors are a touch sour then a bracing hop bitterness. Really liked this.

Light copper, clear, off-white head. Aroma of biscuity malt with a touch of caramel, resiny-citrusy hops are slightly restrained for a double ipa. Flavor: neutral malt with some caramel, pronounced resiny bitterness, citrusy hop flavor, all in good proportion. Not as dry as some like their double IPAs, but it is very drinkable.

Rich light copper and amber coloured body with a thinnish one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, malt, alcohol, earth and a bit more hops - but nothing crazy. Medium-bodied; Assertive PNW hops with a hint of grass and hay noticeable, some subdued sugars and an overall good balance of bright hops, rich malt and some piney notes throughout. Aftertaste shows some alcohol flavours, a hint of light sugars and a bit more of the aforementioned hops. Overall, not seemingly an Imperial IPA to me, just more of an IPA or even an APA. Im usually a big fan of Alaskan beers and IPAs, but this was more of a ho-hum beer for sure. I sampled this pint on draught at Mellow Mushroom in Denver, Colorado on 08-June-2014 for US$5,00.

Mostly clear full amber brown with thick frothy head. Cat piss bitter hop aromas. Hops and grain hit about the same time much smoother then expected but still full flavors. Lasting grainy hop left behind.

Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a clear, orangey amber hue, was a fair layer of off white, bubbly head foam, and dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was lightly dank, with light grain, and citrus as grapefruit & orange. The taste offered moderate, citrusy & rindy hop bitterness that lingered with some subtle malt sweetness, and complementary alcohol, into the finish. Not wowed, but a decent DIPA.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a hazy orange-caramel color with a small soapy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was bitter with notes of pine, fruity hops and a bit of toasted caramel. The flavor was very bitter with caramel, strong pine, resin and vague fruity hops. Long hoppy finish. Moderately full bodied. Decent.
