Bottle. Deep golden/amber body, white head. Aroma of resin, pine sap, dough, caramel. Hints of orange, citrus, alcohol. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Nice balance of sweet and bitter, but overall standard resin and pine ipa.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is my favorite IPA hands down. Which is a shame because it's not a Michigan brew, and I'm really incredibly proud of all the great beers we produce here in the mitten state. It is my mission to find a Michigan beer that I like more than this. ☺

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler on 08.18.14.
A: Orange, grapefruit, and lemon.
A: 1 1/2 finger head. See through amber body.
T: Orange, grapefruit, and lemon dominate. Slight spice and hop resin are subtle.
P: Creamy. Great carbonation.
O: This was a very citrusy IIPA with a malt backbone. It reminded me of Fresh Squeezed.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2015 Bottle at home. 22 oz. Starts off strong With a sharp initial bite of hoppiness. Bite does not linger in your mouth. Like an absentee father: here today, gone tomorrow. Notes of citrus, pine needles, and dandelion. Very drinkable. Not boozy like most double IPAs. Good IPA to start your night off with, if that's your thing.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark orange and clear pour with hardly any head, from 22oz bottle at home. From Blackwells. Almost red. Aroma is juicy, tart, apple, and sweet. Taste is bitter and juicy, fruity, hoppy, and has a slight vanilla finish. Unusual but pretty damn tasty.
