Oakes (12167) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 19, 2014
Golden-bronze. Has a light tree fruit hop character and a fair bit if caramel. Little bit chewy, very sweet, touch of diacetyl coming in late. Doesn’t really come together, not enough bitterness to manage those malts and the elements aren’t clicking.

Bottles at the hotel room in San Diego. Clear golden beer with a rich offwhite head. Hoppy grassy flavor, caramel, peach, cream notes, some pine. A bit too malty for me.

Lubiere (9747) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 22, 2013
A golden amber DIPA with a thick frothy off white head. In aroma, biscuit malt with loads of floral and piney hops, light doughy character, nice. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with light iodine notes, resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth but a bit on the sweet side. On tap at Freakin Frog.

Tap @ Black Bottle in Fort Collins. Pours a fairly clear, orange appearance with a cream colored head. Somewhat spicy resiny hoppy, piney, orange fruity, a bit toasty malty aroma. Somewhat spicy hoppy flavor with notes of tangerine, toasty malty, and herbs. Light booze on the finish. Not bad.

On draught at Yard House Denver. The beer pours a clear bronze color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily, Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, pine and roasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering grapefruit and hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Ughsmash (7087) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 5, 2014
Bottled. Poured clear, medium orange with a sticky white head. The aroma picked up juicy oranges and pine resin over seemingly sweet caramel malts.. a touch heavy-handed, but aiight. The flavor found syrupy sweet caramel and bready notes at the core with pine and citrus bitterness plus peppery alcohol around.. finished sharp with a dry bite right at the end. Medium-plus bodied with a slightly bigger feel than it should’ve had.. overall a good beer with some rough edges.
