Aroma good, appearance golden with pretty bubbles in the pint. Just the right amout of foam that lasted through conversation. Mild hoppiness. Bartender said it was one of those she could drink six of then finally realize how drunk she was. I agree thanks to the subtle but effective 8.6. Rad beer!

Great piny aroma. light amber color. Malty apple taste. light to medium bitter finish. Not particularly spicy. Very smooth mouthfeel with crisp front and sweet end. Overall a nice ipa that is not your typical west coast double.

pours a clear dark amber with a large yellowish head, and good lacing. smell is of hops, floral, citrus, malt in the back, and leaves. taste is of light grapefruit, hops, bark, a touch of pine, some caramel, and malt. ends a little oily and bitter.

ansermadide (1466) - Kyle, Texas, USA - APR 19, 2014
Glass-like and bold orange in color with a bright white head, this beer has an aroma of crisp, fresh, strong, complex hops with a touch of caramelized malts. Some strong bitterness protrudes from the flavor that, although hoppy, is mostly sweet and almost dull in body. It’s full in the mouth, but something about his seems unbalanced - at least between the flavors, body, and mouthfeel. The finish is mostly of hop flavor and is really empty.

On tap at Woody’s in Golden. Golden amber and clear appearance with a lacy white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, grass, herbs, tropical fruit and floral notes. Similar flavor, medium plus bitterness with toasted grains and light alcohol.

Bottles at the hotel room in San Diego. Clear golden beer with a rich offwhite head. Hoppy grassy flavor, caramel, peach, cream notes, some pine. A bit too malty for me.

Big and smooth. Big hop profile, not too much alcohol showing through. Fruity, citrus, sweet malt. Nice stuff.

This double drinks like a pale ale. Very smooth on the palate, amber body with nice head, citrusy hops. Easy drinker.

Odd beer. Some decent hop bitterness but has a candy sweet finish that doesn’t fit. Amber with almost no head.
