One of the more well balanced doubles: not too sweet, not overly bitter. Fruits come through on flavor but not on aroma where this beer is a little weak.

12 oz bottle. 102914 best by date? Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Caramel aroma with herbal, pine hops. Caramel flavor with herbal and spicy hops, slightly stale tasting. Just an okay beer, and subpar as a double IPA.

Features a piney, citrus hop profile on the nose and the palate. Medium-bodied malt backbone, with the hops finishing ahead of the malt. Overall, a very nice dry-style DiPA that hides its 8.5% ABV masterfully.

One of Alaskan’s best beers. Big, bold tastes of pine, charred wood, hops and bitter citrus. Solid DIPA.

On tap. Pours a deep amber color with a clear body. Notes of burnt bread, fresh orange citrus, brown sugar, and earth. Not all that complex. Alcohol is well hidden.

Solid beer....very easy smooth drinking...a little more hop flavor would make this really good.

Tap. Slightly hazy amber pour with a nice lasting off white head. Really nice tropical fruit, peach, pine, and caramel aroma. Taste is resin, pine, and grapefruit. Bitterness dominates and makes it a little one note. Lasting pine aftertaste. Medium body.
