One of the more well balanced doubles: not too sweet, not overly bitter. Fruits come through on flavor but not on aroma where this beer is a little weak.

Bottle. Copper color. Not much aroma. Bitter, malty, not a lot of hop flavor for something with "hop" in its name. Just okay for a double IPA.

Copper amber color with a small, creamy off white head. Aroma of orange peels and herbal hops. Taste is tart citrus with a touch of bready malt and bitter resiny hops that fade into a long medicinal finish. In the high side of medium bodied but with a pretty lively carbonation. Itís a pretty good IPA

2/11/15 nice piney aroma. Copper colored. A bit too much bitter aftertaste for me. Can definitely taste the alcohol. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Deep golden/amber body, white head. Aroma of resin, pine sap, dough, caramel. Hints of orange, citrus, alcohol. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Nice balance of sweet and bitter, but overall standard resin and pine ipa.

This is my favorite IPA hands down. Which is a shame because it's not a Michigan brew, and I'm really incredibly proud of all the great beers we produce here in the mitten state. It is my mission to find a Michigan beer that I like more than this. ☺ ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler on 08.18.14. A: Orange, grapefruit, and lemon. A: 1 1/2 finger head. See through amber body. T: Orange, grapefruit, and lemon dominate. Slight spice and hop resin are subtle. P: Creamy. Great carbonation. O: This was a very citrusy IIPA with a malt backbone. It reminded me of Fresh Squeezed.
