Bottle. Pours a coppery orange with a thin head and delicious aromas of papaya, oranges, a little pine and toffee. Flavor loses a little of the distinction that comes through in the nose, though and the thing ends up as a well balanced DIPA without a direction to the hops. The bitterness is just that... bitterness, but not distinctly tropical or citrus or any other path I can follow. That said, it has a nice zing to it and things balance out very nicely.

Bottle from Total Wine. Clear copper with lasting head and lace. Piney resiny fruity bready aroma. Very fruity sweet with very piney assertive bitterness and fruity finish. An odd combo. Medium full body. Good.

12 oz Bottle. Tasted on 11/16/14. Beer from Total Wine Lewisville, TX. The aroma had pine, resin, biscuits & some light citrus. The taste had mainly pine & biscuits. The flavor was good but nothing special. Easy to drink but not that great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

First time trying this beer, and rating a beer here on RateBeer, too! This IPA poured a little cloudy, but has a nice golden amber color. It rose to a nice 2 finger head and has some lacing. The nose picks up a lot of notes Iím partial to: pine, citrus, and an almost floral sweet note. This beer tastes just like it smells, with pine and citrus in the forefront, then it has a long finish, when the bready malt flavors come to play. It finishes dry, and is not bitter. I drink a lot of high abv beers, so the alcohol content didnít put me off at all, itís not too bad for an 8.5 abv brew. Iíd buy again, as itís a seasonal offering. Cheers!

Bottle: Amber color with two fingers of sandy head. Lots of thick sheet lacing. Nose is hop forward and sweet; citrus, tropical fruit, and pine. Hop flavors a huge without excessive bitterness. Citrus and pine, lightly sweet. A sense of the ABV on the backend reminds me that this is 8.5%, but it is hidden for the most part. Picking up a little bready malt in the tail as it warms. Nice offering by ABC.

Pours a golden orange color with a medium head. Aroma has hops up front with some citrus and pine. Taste has grapefruit and resin up front. There is a pepper like spice also that provides a good balance.

On tap @ Slaterís 50/50 Anaheim. Light amber/dark orange pour with white foam. Kind of a sticky caramel aroma to this. Lots of pine and resin, sort of herbal as well. Thereís some orange zest and pith, too. Flavor is fairly bitter and resinous. Very pine forward. Sticky brown sugar and caramel sweetness. Maybe a bit of booze. Not my favorite.

Poured a sunset orange with a medium lively head. Nose is pure hops, piney and citrus. In the mouth, the hops are present but very nicely balanced. Alcohol well hidden.

Pours a bright orange color with a foamy white head. It has that strong medicinal hop nose. It still has a nice citrus aroma. A fine citrus juicy flavor and mouthfeel. A smooth overall consistency. Quite the unique characteristic in the flavor. Itís a little different. The fruit juice is very prominent. The abv is masked very well. A nice IPA.

Extremely hoppy start with some pine and slight citrus flavor. Strong alcohol bite on this one. Pours deep orange with a tech white head. Had a bottle pour at home. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
