On tap at Humpy’s. Amber color with a thin off white head. Light oaky nose with some fruitiness. Flavors of thin, buttery oak wood flavors. Some tart fruit, funk notes. I’m not sure that this beer was improved by the wood.

On tap @ Cafe Amsterdam. Pours a clear golden amber with a creamy dense white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of vanilla, caramel and a bit of tree sap that I could have mistaken for resinous hops if I didn’t know better. Flavor is lots of vanilla and caramel with a smooth bitterness to balance out the sweetness. Medium body with mild carbonation and a long finish of vanilla. This is an excellent beer, to me it tastes very different from the regular Winter from Alaskan. Hope this makes an appearance every winter.

Hazy amber color/ off white head. Big spruce sap, juniper, vanilla wood aromas. Smooth medium body. Tasty evergreen tree sap, juniper berry, vanilla with sharp caramel and mild drying wood. very good.

GABBF connoisseur session; after the Bourbon Smoked kicked, this one was a tasty follow up; light amber with foamy white head; oak, spruce, lemons and rich vanilla syrup; drinks creamy with sweet sugary flavors, vanilla cookies, earthy spruce; the vanilla and spruce go very well together; smooth finish with lingering sweetness; another one I hope to see again
