COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing, crisp finish is achieved by dry hopping. The fruity, citrusy aroma is a nice complement with grilled prawns and spicy foods.

12oz bottle. Pours golden, white head. Hop aroma, hop bitterness, too full in the body and sweet for the style.

This is a nice refreshing crisp beer that really hits the spot after a good workout. Light on the hops though and would be a dissapointment to the hopheads.

Sampled at Denver Winter Brewfest 2011. Clear transparent gold, unimpressive appearance. Smells very balanced with plenty of caramel malt and leafy green hops. Taste is not excessively hoppy, but is pretty bitter. A bit of citrus and pine. The finish is very grainy, like an amber or something. Not a great IPA, just kinda middle-of-the-road.

Not bad for an IPA, but does not meet expectations for other Alaskans. Will sample others before we go back for this one.

On draft. Darkish gold color with a hazy center. Plenty of hops in the aroma with a touch of sweet malt. Bitter, hoppy flavor with a medium mouth feel. Better then most typical IPA’s.

A: snifter. looks like liquid gold, yellowish orange with a fair amount of solid white head. very mild lacing. S: good hoppy aroma. some citrus along with some pine. a little bit of honey also. also smells of sweet biscuit malts. T: light on the flavor initially. a definite honey characteristic is present. very mellow hop characteristic. not extreme but very tasty. good malt character, feels like biscuit malts. M: light feel in the mouth. good bitters on the palate. very crisp ans smooth. D: extremely drinkable with a good mellow body. i could drink this for decades.
