COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In early 2014 Alaskan re-branded their IPA as Icy Bay IPA

The very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing, crisp finish is achieved by dry hopping. The fruity, citrusy aroma is a nice complement with grilled prawns and spicy foods.

12 ounce bottle. Pours an unclear gold with a 4 inch white head that slowly collapses. Taste is of hops, citrus, grapefruit, fruit, pine, resin and malt. Similar aroma. Has a mostly full body. The finish is slightly dry and a touch bitter. Not a bad beer overall.

651 ml bottle. Pours a gold color with a decent, clingy white head that lasts. Lots of carbonation. Taste is of pine, hops and fruit. Has a nice bitterness to it. Similar aroma. Full, slightly oily body. Very easy to drink and rather refreshing.

Golden orange with a slight haze, two-finger dense white head that dissipated to a splotchy film and left nice lace. Prominent grapefruit aroma up front accompanied by generous and pine hops. Just a hint of pale malt pokes through. Similarly, sharp grapefruit hop flavors open and dominate the flavor profile. Subtle pale malts and toasted grains provide some support for the bitterness that rules throughout. Medium body, zesty carbonation, soft and smooth mouthfeel and a crisply bitter finish.
Earlier Rating: 1/28/2009 Total Score: 3.2
Pours clear golden yellow with a creamy one-finger head with good retention and lacing. Flowery hops aromas, but not over the top. Hops dominate the flavors as well, but caramel malts and spiciness are evident. Light to medium body, generously carbonated, and citrusy hops aftertaste. Pretty standard IPA.

Only ipa I can get at the Omni hotel in Dallas. After having it several times it's grown on me. Not in my top 10 but still decent. Malty with medium hop. Almost a cross between ipa and pa. Can't see the color in the dark bar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not impressed, but have no idea how old the bottle is. Wish all breweries would date their bottles. Drinkable as a session ale, but hops are faded.
