COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing, crisp finish is achieved by dry hopping. The fruity, citrusy aroma is a nice complement with grilled prawns and spicy foods.

Bottle at Pt. Loma Seafood. Orange golden in color with a little head. Little hoppy aroma with some soggy cardboard notes. Light citrusy hoppy flavor. Could be a much better beer. Ok tasting.

[Draft @ YardHouse] Light golden appearance, moderate head formation. Hoppy, citrusy nose, a touch of caramel malt. Pretty light in body and in flavor for style, mild malt content, dry citrussy grapefruit, not too heavy. Average IPA.

Bottle from Windy City. Deep golden color with orange hi-lights upon pouring. Citric hoppy aroma. Somewhat peppery. Flavor is dry and hoppy. Good solid bitter qualities. Not super bitter, but an easy sipper with good hoppiness.

Bottle: Pours a clear golden color with orange hues. A large white head lasts a while and some sticky lacing. The aroma is very solid; a blend of citrus, floral, and piney hops. Taste is a bit lacking. The hop intensity is rather moderate, some malty sweetness and a twinge of lager. It tastes more like a half-n-half of IPA and pale lager. The taste simply doesn’t follow the nose.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden amber with a fluffy white head. Sweet citrus and pine aroma. Light, watery body and medium carbonation. Taste is lightly sweet toffee and citrus with a crisp spruce finish. Everything about this beer except the 6.4 ABV says lawnmower.

Pours a medium sized white head, retention is fair witha smattering of stringy, spotty lace. Clear gold colored brew. Nose is quiet, gentle malts, lightly grainy, subdued hops, a touch floral and spicey. Body is lightly medium, nice carbonation, lightly oily. Caramel malts are lightly sweet, floral fruity flavors, peaches, light honey notes, citrus, a little toasty. Lightly sweet finish, light fruitiness. Pretty tame IPA. Thanks for the bottle Cliff!

Location: On tap at the The Fish Market in San Diego, 1/5/10

Aroma: Aroma is mostly pine, resiny, and grapefruit hops
Appearance: Golden color with lots a very lacy head
Flavor: Has a strong fruit and pine bitter, hoppy flavor to it
Palate: Smooth and crisp with a nice mouthfeel and a long duration
Overall Impression: I really liked this beer. It’s a bit on the one dimensional side, but I just really enjoyed that one dimension. It could have been the great meal overlooking the water, the fact that I was enjoying the 75 degree days of So Cal instead of the 20 degree days of the NE, or that I’m just a sucker for a pine/grapefruit IPA, but I enjoyed this one quite a bit.

This is one of the few PNW IPAs that is reminiscent of the English style. Still with fruity and citrusy hops, this beer is quite floral. Lighter in color than many of the NW style India pales. a nice frothy white head with little lacing but a clean finish and a subtle hop aroma and finish makes for an almost session-worthy bomber. Malty presence is there, but overall, what a nice well-balanced brew!
