Rather light. Mild ,but balanced, hopping with a nice lingering bitterness on the finish.

complex and therefore demonstrative since it is hoppy enough and a bit more sweet than usual. pine cone flavor i am rather fond of combined with golden color and orange like citrus. caramel like malt profile balances this some with a dry finish. decent.

22 oz. bomber bottle, freshness date in the lower left hand corner of the label, sampled in an imperial pint glass.
Poured a clear bright golden copper with a nice size foamy white head that slowly settled into a thin sudsy lacing, minimal amount of laced sticking. Plentiful supply of flowing tiny micro bubbles going from the bottom of the glass to the top.
Tamed hoppiness in the nose, floral, fruity and citrus zesty, the dry hopping is not that noticeable. A light backing from the sweet pale malts.
At first I wasn’t that impressed by the taste, but it is growing on me, especially as it slowly warms. Nice and mild northwest hoppiness, fruity, citrus zesty along with a tastes of candied citrus peel and a leafy hop oil stickiness on the tongue. Not a taste bud killer, but does have a hop prickliness in the palate. Soft backbone from the pale sugary, dry biscuit maltiness. Velvety moderate bodied feel, firm from the carbonation, goes down easy, quite consumable.

On tap @ City Beer. Pours golden tone with full white head. Nose is bitter hops. The taste is the same. This is a very bland and boring beer. Drinkable, but only if nothing else is arouond, or if you wan’t to post more ratings :-)
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 brewblackhole (1581) - Muskego, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 10, 2007
Aroma was grainey hop ,followed by a little grapefruit rind and pine needle, lighter body ,hop dominated flavor,I didn’t get the caramel malt balance that everyone else was tasting, this brew had an overabundace of bittering hops, so bitter at the finish, there was almost an acedic sourness to it,the beer is to light for that much bitterness. After I put the glass down ,my mouth tasted like I had been sucking on a lemon rind

GABF 2005. Golden, clear, with a frothy white head. Light grapefruit and pine aroma. A decent hop bite, more pine needles than citric grapefruit or lemon, but all are there. Mildly carbonated with a dry finish. I’d like to see a little more malt in the mix, it would make for a really good IPA.

Bottle. Poured clear bronze with white head. Grainy aroma with some citrus. Hoppy taste with a bit of pine. Hoppy finish. I found no maltiness in this.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 glennmastrange (1547) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - MAY 1, 2009
Bottle. Light grain note for the malt, moderate aroma of flowers for the hops, no noticeable yeast smell, and a hint of wood in the background. Head is average sized, frothy, white with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear amber. Flavor is lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, has a carbonation between lively and fizzy and finishes dry. Pretty simple on the aromas, but as crisp and clean as an IPA gets.
