Pours a copperish color. Typical hoppy aroma, a bit of skunkyness to this was a surprise. Flavor is a mix of caramel malt flavors and hops. Ok.

Draught. High creamy and lasting white head. Clear yellow body. Dry fruity lemon grapefruit aroma and flavor. High carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 BückDich (5468) - McCall, Idaho, USA - APR 25, 2007
Bottle: Oh, nice new Alaskan beer with a pretty green label that really draws the eye. Pours like the color of blond miso paste, puffy thick white head. The nose is crisp with some fresh pale malt, but it’s a bit overattenuated or just mashed too low, as the hops aren’t joining the party and the only sugars left are the boring types. The rest have been turned into this 6.4% bottle of grassy water. Thin, lacking evolution based on the climate of todays microbrew industry. If we’re seeing growth in sales, shouldn’t we be seeing growth in quality? I digress; I guess Juneau really is a long ways away from San Diego.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2008 2008-09-02. Crisp dark yellow body with a nice creamy off-white head. (3+) . Pleasant hoppy aroma (7+) with a touch of grass and muted citrus that carry over to the flavour. Average palate. Quite drinkable, but on the mild side and I crave more citrus from the hops. 7/4/7/3/14+ - 3.4 On tap at the brewery, Juneau
July 2007. Golden yellow body, small white head. Moderate hoppy aroma, with grassy notes. Flavour has a decent amount of bitterness and light citrusy hops and light grassy notes, though less assertive than I might like. Average palate. Quite quaffable – pleasant. 6-7/3/7/3/14 Bottle courtesy of Mabel’s parents.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Cornfield (5239) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - MAY 8, 2007
This poured a clear bronze body with a tall off-white head that did some heavy lacing. It’s got an aroma of orange petals and grapefruit with a small whiff of pine over a light malty sweetness. The flavor is balanced more like an APA, pale malt equaled by the hoppy bitterness. The finish recues the drink by having a prolonged, if mild, pine and grapefruit bitterness. A lawnmower IPA.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ernest (5113) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 10, 2007
Bottle (A070507). Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (resin). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not very impressed with this one...rather lean, simple, and kind of husky.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Dickinsonbeer (5077) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - OCT 6, 2009
12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy deep gold with a thin lasting head and very nice lace. Aroma is grassy nutty earthy minty, english and tea-like hops, and light citrus. Flavor is clean, some grass, light herbs, mint, tea, toast, cracker with a crisp finish- light on the hops and bittering. Average at best. Seems too old school-like. Gotta get with the times and step up the hops even for a regular IPA.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 beerguy101 (4825) - Newark, California, USA - JAN 14, 2008
This India Pale Ale pours a deep orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is citrusy and floral, very fresh. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity. It seems to be more hop forward than it used to be, but I have no notes and am going from an old memory here. Decent balance. This beer is hoppy without being over the top or over aggressive. Lively carbonation. It’s a touch grassy in the finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is dry and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
