COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing, crisp finish is achieved by dry hopping. The fruity, citrusy aroma is a nice complement with grilled prawns and spicy foods.

(11/4/08) Bottle at some place called "Sneak Joint" in Mission Beach, San Diego, that is standing where Liar’s Club used to be. Slightly hazy deep golden color. Aroma of hops, citrus hints and a bit of malt. Sweetish malty flavor at first that continues hoppy and bitter with pine and light floral and citrus notes. Medium-bodied. Not bad.

Draft @ Tin Fish, San Diego. Copper and clear, with a small head. Aroma is citrus and pine resin. Flavor is mostly the same with some nutty malt for balance. Finishes with more resiny hops. Light-medium body is watery and slightly dry.

Bottle. Light grain note for the malt, moderate aroma of flowers for the hops, no noticeable yeast smell, and a hint of wood in the background. Head is average sized, frothy, white with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear amber. Flavor is lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, has a carbonation between lively and fizzy and finishes dry. Pretty simple on the aromas, but as crisp and clean as an IPA gets.

Draft @ BBQ, Brews, and Blues. Pours a golden amber with an medium sized foamy white head which was mostly lasting. The aroma was mild and very fresh, with a light pine and floral hoppiness to it. The flavor was a very light, crisp and refreshing, something that you very rarely see with hop heavy west coast IPA’s. Focus was on floral and pine hops, but the bitterness level was medium so it has appeal to the non hop heads of the world. This would be very sessionable if it was accessible. The finish was dry but not too bitter. Overall not bad at all, not super hoppy for me, but still a decent beer.

Poured out of a 22 oz bottle. Hue is nice and pale. Flavor is very crisp and has a thin lacey head. Worth a try if you can find it, though I had never seen it around before.

Pours a clear, golden amber body with a foamy, eggshell colored head. Fairly well retained, the foam leaves behind nice flares and spots of lacing. The nose is standard fare for an IPA, showing a toasted caramel and toffee malt background with bitter grapefruit and orange hops. Flavors were again fairly standard, with the citrus notes balanced quite well by the caramel malt sweetness. Medium bodied, smooth, and finishing on the dry and bitter side. Nothing fancy here, just a well executed, easy to drink IPA. Nice brew.

Bottle. Pours a clear medium gold color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is of citrus and hops. There is pine and citrus in the flavor, and the hops is a bit subdued for an IPA. Nice finish (I like a good bitter). I like a more in-your-face IPA, but this is still a decent brew. I’d like to pair this brew with spaghetti and homemade marinara sauce & Italian sausage.

Nice IPA, not too bitter, golden corn colored brew. Hints of honey, citrus and melon, and of course, lots of hops. Good with pizza.
