shigadeyo (1500), Southwest Ohio Area, Alabama, USA Jun 30, 2007 6/30/2007: Alaskan IPA pours a pale amber-yellow color with a lasting, fluffy off-white head. The carbonation is made up of tiny bubbles and appears to be pretty tame. Some above average lacing is also present. The aroma is citrus and pine hops with some toffee malt in the background. The flavor has some sweet toffee maltiness with a moderate level of citrus, pine, and floral hop bitterness. This beer has a medium body with a soft, smooth texture. This is a well balanced IPA that has a good hoppy flavor and a mellow palate. A pleasure to drink!

Skinnyviking (2965), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 21, 2008 Draught. High creamy and lasting white head. Clear yellow body. Dry fruity lemon grapefruit aroma and flavor. High carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste. Gypsy19 (252), AMERICA RISING, USA Oct 16, 2008 A little weak for an IPA in my opinion, but decent overall. It’s a very ordinary IPA, indistinguishable from so many other IPAs, though a little less flavorful than most also. Drinkable; Nothing more, nothing less. kmweaver (2273), Nicaragua Oct 8, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a bright, clear, medium tarnished copper color; mixed-bubbled white head with good retention and lacing. Basic earthy and citrus bitterness in the aroma; a touch watery. Medium mouthfeel: lots of chewy, slightly astringent earthy and citrus-laden hoppiness upfront; very light metallic note present, with a basic candy sugar malt character; strong bitterness and a touch of astringency; slightly off. Medium finish: citrus and earthy bitterness, basic core maltiness, and some floral notes. iowaherkeye (1427), relocated to Santa Rosa f/Iowa, California, USA Oct 5, 2008 22oz bomber, stamped A092008--something about September 20th? Hopefully not the best by date. Purchased @ Bottle Barn. Aroma has pine and pine air fresheners, light perfume, and some watered-down caramel malts. Clear golden with a one finger off-white head, fading to a think film and thick ring. Flavor leans more malty, though not watered-down this time. There is still the soft pine notes, and floral perfume does come across a bit in the finish, which is semi-dry. Bitterness peaks at a 3-4. Moderate carbonation with a medium body. A good IPA. Not a West Coast hop bomb, but good. fiulijn (6010), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Oct 5, 2008 Draught at the Yardhouse, Las Vegas
Deep blond color. Light hop aroma. some caramel flavor with light sweetness, some hopping. Unoffensive.
