2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Healthy gold hue with a moderate foam head--this ber had the fresh hoppiness desired of an APA with the malt sweetness appearing after warming. However, the body is stale hopped and bland like a blonde ale with sweet malting apparent after some time. This ale is smooth, easy to drink and uncomplex on the palate--it should have mass appeal to american standard drinkers as it is definitely of much better quality. It finishes rateer dry and even has somewhat of a cardboard/metallic mouthfeel. An APA in smell, but a well balanced blonde in flavor.

A very fine blonde. Well balanced and smooth. Easy drinking but not boring. Nice clean palate.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
very much how the description describes it. Really sweet, slightly citrusy, and slightly bitter, is how I would describe it, but all around quite tasty.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Almost no aroma, but that which emerged was slightly floral/fruity. This is a fine peach/gold color--good pocked head too. This is maltier than most blondes, and although the basic character of this class of brew is lighter than I prefer, this has some body and balance that many lack. Nice mild fruity quality to the malt. Hops come through mostly in the finish, lightly dusting the back of the palate. Alaskan put some care into this light, refreshing brew.

1.3 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
After reading some of the reviews I have to assume I have a bad six pack.
Opening a bottle and smelling the vapor I noticed rusty cap smell, smoked hickory and sweet onions. The taste is very similar with no hops. A bummer of a sixer and just plain grrrrrr. Now, what the heck am I going to do with the other four?

Got this in a Jackson bar primarily because of the ’most states sampled’ thing. Damn you, user ex! :) It’s a gentle, easy going brew balanced toward maltiness and good for downing while shooting pool.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A taste of citrus and a little hop bitter. Kinda like a mild, smoother SNPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Real good, but I was expecting better. Had a strange mouthfeel, almost lagerish and sweet from the malts. Out of balance, in my opinion, in an unusual direction for an APA -- this time too malty. Still quite good, however.
