3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 savnac (1365) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - JUL 19, 2010
On tap. Clear golden yellow with a small white head. Malty aroma with a good amount of citrus and some light biscuit and wheat. Flavor is lightly sweet and malty with wheat and a medium citrus hop bitterness. Light body with average carbonation and a crisp refreshing finish. This is a good one on a hot day, I’m pretty sure this one was fresh because the hops were stronger than I remember, borderline American Pale Ale.

12oz bottle. Hazy blond with chunky sediment. Lasting small white head. Musty malt, doughy yeast, and faint spicy hop aroma. Low bitterness and just a touch of spicy hop flavor. Light malt with a touch of bread and fruity, doughy yeast. A little too chunky in body and not very clean feeling. Pretty blah blond ale.

On tap. Golden pour with minimal head. Somewhat fruity aroma with maybe a pinch of hops. Flavor is light, fruity. Mild sweetness balanced by a very slight hop bitterness. Light bodied, lively carbonation. It’s ok if you like beer that doesn’t require thought. Unoffensive, nothing special.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 poisoneddwarf (881) - Rathdrum, Idaho, USA - JUN 20, 2010
12 oz bottle into English pint. Thanks to brenn79. Nose is sweet and grainy; pretty bland. Pours just a slightly hazy gold hue with a medium head and decent lace. Taste is bland, bland, bland; slightly sweet with no bitterness. Highly carbonated with a grainy aftertaste. Medium bodied. Extremely simple, boring, thirst-quenching sessionable blonde. Definitely not a pale ale in any way.

Golden pour with moderate fluffy white head. Light sweet crystal malt aroma and some equally light citrusy hops. Very light brew...some very moderate hop citrusy notes and caramel/toffee crystal malt sweetness, but very, very insubtantial. Nice lawnmower beer, but that’s it!
