4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 beermatrix (1497) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - JUL 7, 2003
Fairly hazey yellow color with a full foamy white head. Mild smell, as with most pales, this was almost to mild, very light hops and some lemon-like notes. Taste of sweet hops and hints of fruit and fruity sugars, light but solid. Nice and smooth, light and pleasing feel with a medium malt body, excellent. Finish is also smooth, a little dry with a great, thin hoppy tone.

Bottle. Pours a uniform and slightly lively yellow with a nice head of white and lacing that leaves a nice pattern at which to stare. Aroma is clean and bready hops with a hint of grapefruit and bready white wine. Flavor is a hoppy pilsner with hints of grassy honey and a slight herbal presence. Very clean and full mouthfeel. This is a great pale; clean and very zingy taste. Obviously well-made.

Poured a golden pale with a finger of creamy white head. The nose was a doughy, malty aroma that’s peppered with citrus rind and breezy floral notes. The taste started biscuity and bready, quickly followed by an infusion of delicate citrus notes that are mildly fruit-juicy and rind-like. It’s bitterness is well-tamed and seems only intended to balance its sweetness, leaving it to simply fade from the tongue. Some sweet-biscuit malt does linger. This is one really drinkable beer that would be perfect in almost any situation. Very nice!

A taste of citrus and a little hop bitter. Kinda like a mild, smoother SNPA.

This pale ale pours a clear, copper color with a small, dissipating white head. It has a nice, hoppy, floral, grapefruity aroma with some good malty sweetness in the background. Medium body with a moderate amount of carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Up front the flavor is nicely hoppy with lots of citrus and grapefruit and a bit of maltiness. The finish is long and hoppy with the malts becoming more apparent towards the end. Very nice pale ale.

ALmost clear, bright golden appearance. Mild caramel, woody aroma, fragrant sweet hoppiness. Fruity palate, mildly tropical, mildly citrus, moderate bite in the finish. Very well balanced, well flavored pale ale that is impressive in its simplicity.

Pale golden colour, earthy hop nose. Earthy flavour to start with supporting caramel malt to finish. Good APA.

This should be classified as an American Pale Ale as it is not a Golden or Blonde Ale.
A little heavy handed on the bitterness for such a light body. Very pleasant hop aroma. Somewhat fruity in the palate.
This would be a horrible example of a Golden/Blonde it is an American Pale Ale...
