COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fresh, crisp and inviting, this golden ale is a favorite with crab, prawns and salads. The floral aroma of hops is derived from dry hopping during the fermentation process.

Ya know when I first experiences Alaskan Brewing I was impressed and deemed it a good fall back beer. Let's just say my opinions have changed. This one tastes very similar to the Winter Ale. Did we just mix-up the labels? Especially crappy aroma and palate, not to mention the bland flavor.

Strong mellon aroma. Big head. Orange colour with a few floaties. Overall rather weak. Light fruit flavour with some off tasting bitterness. Tastes like a weak fruit beer or a light Belgian. Did not work for me.

Very light aroma - tinned pears at first whiff. Murky yellow with a good head. Not sure what all the fuss is here or maybe it didnt travel well. Nice malt structure, sweet and juicy. Really lacking any hop notes - either flavor or aroma. All and all a bit meh.

12oz bottle. Pours golden, thin white head. Sweet aroma, better foretaste followed by sweet. Unremarkable.

Pretty much your average, run of the mill golden pale ale. 12oz bottle. Pours a light, pale golden yellow, nose of citrus fruits, spice and hops.

Not your typical Pale Ale. In fact, it’s a big misleading and that’s a dissapointment. Citrusy, it’s basically a summer ale packaged as a pale ale. Weak hops and mild flavor. Dissapointing effort from Alaskan.

This beer didn’t impress me in the least. Too much carbonation or something. Not for me.

Pours very yellow; very lager-like, with a small, foamy head. Aroma is weak and vague: There’s a little hoppiness in there, and some generic fruit, and that’s it. Flavor is only slightly hoppy, but somewhat corny, and that tastes cheap. Finish is decent enough, but far from impressive. This stuff is alright, but I doubt I’ll remember it past tonight. Overall, fair.

12 oz bottle into English pint. Thanks to brenn79. Nose is sweet and grainy; pretty bland. Pours just a slightly hazy gold hue with a medium head and decent lace. Taste is bland, bland, bland; slightly sweet with no bitterness. Highly carbonated with a grainy aftertaste. Medium bodied. Extremely simple, boring, thirst-quenching sessionable blonde. Definitely not a pale ale in any way.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2007 Bottle... Poured a pale, golden color with a thin white head. Yeasty, malt aroma. Citrusy sweet flavors with a lot of malt. Too much malt if anything. It was like fermented pine-sol. I at least like my pine-sol with more hops and an edge. I was also upset that I thought I was buying a pale ale, by the name, "Alaskan Pale".
