3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 arrogantb (901) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 10, 2009
Very nice clear golden color just as advertised. Hoppy, bubblegum smell followed by a crisp hoppiness. Very easy to drink as this is by no means a hop bomb and has a nice malty follow-up, its just nice to see a decently hopped pale ale instead of IPA’s always stealing the spotlight.
edit--
after reading other reviews I don’t understand if I got a very fresh sixer or my palate is warped from drinking different styles in one session, it tastes hoppy to me ?!?

12oz bottle. Clean, crisp, and middle of the road, a perfect American Golden Ale. Medium bodied, with a dry, sandy hop flavor which balances the pale malt characteristics. Great session beer.

One of the few classic beers which has not diminished in palate or aroma. Pours light gold, with a distinct flavor of malt and vanilla. Very smooth aftertaste good with anything

An amazing golden ale. My mother visited some friends in Anchorage and brought a bottle of this stuff back. Was hoping for a smoked porter but thats for hoping. This was good though. Light to medium body. Nose very floral. Tart, bitter, high carb with light hops. Great finish.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2009 Pours a pale golden color with a nice white head that dissappates too quickly for my liking. This beer contains aromas of lemon and other fruits as well. It also has some nice floral overtones in the aroma as well. The flavor is nicely hoppy and is slightly lemony and foral as well. The finish is a little dry. Overall, this is a nice blonde and I look forward to having another.

This is a fantastic Pale Ale. The Alaskan Brewing Company sure does know how to make a great beer, and this is no exception. If you want a good pale, give this one a try.

I remember this one having the aroma of yeast and dough. I enjoyed it and liked the smooth bready taste. A very nice pale ale, without all the unnecessary hops.

very much how the description describes it. Really sweet, slightly citrusy, and slightly bitter, is how I would describe it, but all around quite tasty.

Drank on tap in Anchorage. Minimal head, clear, good flavor. Drinking it in Alaska doesn’t hurt, either.

Light gold color, medium head, and hoppy nose. Medium hopped, dry malts. A good balance between malts and hops. Slight citrus taste. Nice flavor. Finish is mild, slightly bitter. Very drinkable.
