COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied deep mahogany ale with ruby red highlights. Citrus notes of chamomile, grapefruit and Meyer lemon brighten the aroma. A zesty array of hop flavors from mango and bitter orange to green mint and hibiscus meld with the nutty, roasted caramel and subtle dried fruit flavors of the complex malt profile to create a surprisingly fresh, yet warming example of the style.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. Deep red- orange with a dense beige head that laces thickly. Lovely aroma of fresh pineapple, citrus, and caramel malt that makes me think more of melon. Flavour-dense palate that is equally malty and hoppy, again literally bursting with tropical fruit aromatics. Unlike some IRAs, this strikes the right balance without becoming cloyingly sweet. Really delicious!

22oz bottle. The pour was a clear mahogany brown with an average (1-2 finger) light tan creamy head that possessed great retention and had awesome sheets of lacing. The aroma was of a toasted grain malt, floral hops and an earthy yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (grapefruit and orange peel) and a nice fruity ester (pineapple and mango). The taste was very malty and a tad bitter-sweet with notes of tropical fruit and caramel throughout, becoming moderately bitter and quite hoppy with a good strong citrus presence towards the end. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow, with a bitter citrus peel bite left lying on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was a few steps below medium in body and dry in texture with a solid medium carbonation. Overall this was a nice sweet hoppy brew that I believe is a good beer to just kick back and sip slowly... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

Bomber. Hops in the nose that promises strength. Dark reddish brown with a large tan head. Nice lace. Strong initial mouthfeel; actually fairly hot in the finish. Considerable malt backbone. Very good.

22. Pours a clear dark amber with a dense and creamy tan head that lasts and lasts. Big sweet approachable oranges and pineapples nose with plenty of caramel showing.God, it just smells delicious. Creamy medium body with soft carb--a little more effervescence would have pushed this one into the stratosphere. Dark caramel, oranges, and pineapples on the mid palate. Long tangy resiny finish. Really good.

22 oz bottle. Clear crimson brown with a pocked beige head. Nose is lemon zest, orange, caramel and wild strawberry. Crisp and creamy with a buzz and lingering resin. Taste is lemon, mint, toffee and grapefruit peel. Reminds me of a cough drop at times but still good.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours very dark - but held to light there’s a lot of garnet in it - decent creamy beige head. Aroma is mild cat piss - but there’s some roasty malt and arguably pine too. Full bodied cause of the creamy carb. Flavor is roasty malt with a heck of a lot of citrus and resin. Fact is, the feel is actually kind of like a hoppy barley wine - but there’s too much hop for that. Point: it’s not harsh - it’s smooth - but it’s hoppy enough to stand up as a NW hop bomb IMHO. Curl up around one or two of these, and go to bed. Excellent ale.

Bottle from Zipps Liquor. Has some bold caramel and pine hop aromas. Nice ruby color with a long lasting white head. Taste is some malt, with a bit of booze kick, finishes with a nice pleasant pine bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber from Woodman’s in the Falls. Pours a light brown color with reddish tints and a tan head leaving nice lacing that lasts. Aroma has sweet and dark fruits, some citrus, some brown sugar. A bit muted. Taste is of sweet caramel, fruits and simple syrup. Faint alcohol. Finishes sweet with some bitterness and some fruityness. It is american strong-ish, but not the best representation of the style.

22oz Bottle, Reddish brown pour. Piny grapefruit aromas that blend well, very full, but not overly bold. Great mix of hop flavors and sweet malts, smooth. Finishes with honeys and bitters and some burn from the alcohol. Damn good! Very well balanced and very drinkable.

Bottle and rated on 2-06-2013. This beer has a large smooth beige head that was mostly lasting, transparent body, one ring of lacing, very fizzy and fast rising carbonation, and an amber-red hue. The aroma is malty, caramel, fruity, pears, lemon, grapefruit, pine, and citrus hops. The taste is sweet, minty, lightly spicy, malty, caramel, lightly bitter, grapefruit, lightly roasty, pine, citrus hops and has a semi-dry finish. The palate is tingly and this is a medium bodied beer. Overall, this beer has a lot going on with all the different aromas and tastes. The hops are upfront, but not over-the-top which is a good thing for me since I am not a hop head by any means. There is a short lingering hoppy aftertaste. This beer is definitely worth trying, and a beer that I would definitely drink again.
